Jason POV (weird, right..)

Oh, fuck.

I'd scared him off.

What the hell was my reaction? Holy shit, someone just told me they'd been abused and I went silent.

Fuck, fuck, fuck.

Where was the son of Poseidon? Gods, this was such a big miscommunication I wanted to cry.

I picked my sword up, turned it back into coin form and slipped it into my pocket, before slowly going in the direction that Percy had ran.

"Shit, I am such an idiot..." I groaned.

"Why?"

I jumped violently, recognising the voice as my one and only older sister.

"Poseidon's underwear, Thals, you scared the hell out of me!"

"Oops? Anyway, why are you calling yourself an idiot? Other than the possibility you're listing facts-"

"Shut up."

"Or naming your attributes-"

"Shut up."

"Or-"

"Thalia!"

"Right, sorry, I get it. Now. Reason. Gimme."

"I.. someone.. I can't say who- they um, they told me something deep and I- I just shut up! And they ran off!"

"Was it Percy? Saw him at the lake, looked out of breath."

"Nah, it wasn't Perce." The lie came easily, as I was still trying to convince myself this wasn't real.

Out of all the people I would've guessed had been abused, Percy was not it.

The boy was just so constantly... Percy.

And I mean that in the best way possible.

He always had a smart retort, and despite everyone's assumptions about him being an idiot, he was actually pretty smart. He was also just funny, and uplifting.

And he cared about everyone.

I mean, he basically attacked a god for me.

And we fought all the time!

I mean, I know loyalty is his fatal flaw, but even so - that's a little extreme.

"Oi. Jase?"

"Hm?- Oh, right."

"My advice? Go after them. Explain why you did what you did... And then, if they forgive you, awesome. If they don't - which would be stupid - then you give them some space, then try again in a week."

"Right. Thanks Thals."

"No problemo, little brother. Now, where's Reyna gone?..." (A/N: yes, I may or may not be a Renia/Thalna shipper - idk if that's their ship name tho)

I set off towards the lake.

Time to fix this shit.
