"Oh, Ji Woo. You're just leaving now?"
I was surprised to see Ji Woo walking out in his gym uniform. The next second, the smell of body odor hit me like a truck and I realized his shirt had sweat stains.
There wasn't gym class today and as far as I knew, Ji Woo wasn't in any after-school sports.
"Er... I had some studying to catch up on," he said, his eyes wide like a deer caught in headlights.
I arched an eyebrow. "In your tracksuit?"
He looked down at his attire and sheepishly replied, "Oh, er... It's more comfortable."
I agreed with him. The tracksuit was indeed more comfortable. But that didn't answer why he was perspiring so much in the first place.
"So... I'll be going now. See ya tom—"
"Wait!" I called out, standing in front of him.
He looked at me in confusion. I shuffled my feet awkwardly.
"Do... Do you mind sticking around for a while?" I asked, hesitantly. "At least until my... ride gets here."
Ji Woo stared at my face a second longer, studying my expression. Then, he dropped his gaze and agreed.
"Did something happen?" He asked.
I sighed, wondering if I should even tell him. Will he understand?
Instantly, the memory of him getting bullied and all that time we spent gaming together flashed through my mind. Well, I'm sure he could understand.
"My stalker confronted to me."
Ji Woo was shocked, his mouth agape. "Wh-where? When? Are you okay?" He badgered me with questions.
"Who got stalked now?" A familiar voice asked from behind Ji Woo.
I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Urgh. Not him again. I thought I had already scared him off!
"It's none of your business, Sang Wook," I said.
"It is my business if my girl is–"
I cut him off. "I'm gonna stop you right there. Get lost before I do it again."
"Do what again?"
My eyes darted down to his crotch and back up to his eyes. It took him a while to get what I was implying but he quickly backed off.
I was surprised he complied. Or maybe my attack on his family jewels really scared him, more than I expected it to.
I told Ji Woo I was fine for now but before I could elaborate further, the goons arrived with the car. I told Ji Woo to take care before we drove off to hagwon.
In the end, I couldn't really focus on hagwon. Seems like I was really affected by all that happened. And I wasn't sure why. This was nothing new to me.
I couldn't sleep either. I kept tossing and turning. I gave up sleeping entirely and turned on my desktop to play a game, maybe for an hour or two.
Of course, that was a lie.
I played until the sun rose and did not get a wink of sleep. Well, crap.
I trudged to school, groggily, my eyes half open. I was making my way to my desk when someone darted past me. I didn't think much until I saw my desk. It was covered in trash and brown goo, which I suspect to be melted chocolate, as well as some unknown liquid. There was an angry message written underneath in bold, silver marker.
