As always happens with me, I start off writing a chapter and it becomes too long and I end up having to split it. Since this was a much awaited update and many of you had asked me about when I was going to post next, I've uploaded the first part and am writing the next one right now.

I hope you guys like it. Fingers crossed. Enjoy!

23. Wedding Night 2.0 - Part I

Dhawal and Natasha were standing just outside the door of Makhwana House, holding hands, decked up in their wedding attire and waiting to be welcomed in. They had just gotten married, in a police station sure, but yes, after enduring all the hardships they were married now and ready to start the new chapter of their lives together.

They looked at each other, the smile never leaving their lips and happiness evident in their eyes.

"So, Mrs Makhwana once again, chalein andar?" he asked as Isha placed the kalash with rice in front of Natasha.

Natasha nodded, feeling overwhelmed at the enormity of the moment that was going to happen. She was going to set foot in this house as a new bride with her husband, once again. Welcomed with all traditions and ceremonies, once again. She was going to vow to uphold the honour of this family once again. She just hoped that this time she was able to do all of this without any misunderstandings.

"Natasha kitni lucky hai na humari family ke liye dekho! Shaadi hote hi hume humara ghar waapis mil gaya!" exclaimed Dolly, clapping her hands with joy.

Natasha kicked the kalash lightly, scattering the rice grains and stepped in the red liquid, taking one step at a time, the red footmarks marking her auspicious arrival in this house. A sharp contrast to her last time where each moment was punctuated with a bad omen.

The Pandyas left soon after her and Dhawal's grah-pravesh, leaving the Makhwanas to welcome the new bride into their home. The Bhabhis' were overjoyed at Natasha's return in the house. After all, she was a core member of their group. In fact, one could say that she was the centre of their group who bound them together in sisterhood and they had missed her solidarity. Chirag was really happy for his brother for he knew how devastated Dhawal had been when he left Natasha and he knew Dhawal had been doing everything in his power to make everything right again. Bhaven was quite unaffected, for all that mattered to him, this was just another one of the machands that daily happened in his home but somewhere he too was relieved to see his brother smiling like before. Amrish was seething inside but for his brother's sake he had put up a happy front. He could see that Dhawal was completely in love with Natasha right now and didn't want Dhawal to turn against him again.

Amba was...well, not happy with the lovers' reunion, to put it lightly. In her mind, Natasha was a witch who was just not leaving her beloved Bakuda alone and while she put up a front showing her happiness, she had resolved inside to ruin her even if it was the last thing she did.

The Bhabhis and arranged for some fun couple games for the newly married couple and Dhawal and Natasha both enjoyed themselves thoroughly competing against each other all of which they had missed their first time getting married. After the muh-dikhai rasam where Natasha got gifts from everyone, it was time for dinner.

Natasha had been wondering what would happen at dinner time now. Since they all had been living in one room together, eating together, sleeping together since many days with all the rules out the window, would they all go back to how thing were before or would everything be different now? Well, it was as she had expected. The Bhabhis still standing behind their husbands. Natasha was allowed to sit and eat as the new bride but from tomorrow, she would be doing the same. Some things never changed but now that she was here for good, she and Dhawal would try to bring some slight changes bit by bit.
