Chapter 1. The Fall.

Authors note: This story doesn't exactly follow the same lore as OuterTale, more or less it's more Undertale themed with a space themed underground. I would also like to make note that this in a sense is somewhat of a different version of OuterTale, this is my version of OuterTale, if you do not like it then you can go, i'm not forcing you to stay here, but if you must leave hate then be my guest. This is my story i'm writing, not yours i have creative freedom. For those who genuinely love it, add it to your library, follow me, like the story, i don't know, do whatever you have to do. "Come on guys! Stop it!" your friend said to your other friends. "It's okay Jesse! They're just playing!" You stated laughing as you placed a hand on Jesse's pouty shoulder. "Chill lax Jess! You know it's all just games!" Johnny stated as she playfully nudged Jesse's shoulder, "Plus... It wasn't anything too serious all we did was color some water and say it was juice" Jackie said as they grabbed my water bottle that had red colored water inside of it, as they then shook my water bottle and leaned on me. I watched as Jesse sighed, then finally slowly smiled, "I suppose that is pretty harmless, but it still is lying you know" Jesse laugh as he then roughly grabbed Johnny's head and began to give her a noogie. "Hey! Stop that! You're gonna ruin my hair!" Johnny stated is distress as she began to try and escape Jesse's wrath. I sighed rolling my eyes as I broke the two up. "Come on Johnny, your hair doesn't have to always look prefect, we're literally walking to a bus stop together. Jesse, however that still doesn't give you an excuse to noogie her." I then stated as i watched the two cross arms at each other while pouting. "Yeah, whatever Y/N said!" exclaimed Jackie, trying their best to be my hype person. I rolled my eyes playfully as i snatched my water bottle back from Jackie. The four of us then manage to get to bus stop. However the bench only allowed three of us, meaning one of us had to stand up. We then all played a game known as "Fourteen Star" the game is about where, one person has to name a star within fourteen seconds, if you fail you are out. I ended up failing as i couldn't name a star, so i had to be the one standing up, which then yet again i didn't mind since i had been sitting now pretty much the entire day. "You know for someone who literally is in collage to get into NASA and to be an astronomer, I'm shocked you couldn't name a star that fast" Jesse said with his legs cross while he smirked, the other two quietly laughed as i rolled my eyes. "Oh please, as if you're any better." I scoffed, while i crossed my arms. "Oh lighten up Y/N!" Jesse said while he pulled out a box of cigarettes and a lighter, offering me one. "No thank you, I'm trying to quit" I said as i declined the offer. Jesse shrugged as he lit himself a cigarette then leaned back. Eventually after what felt like eternity, the bus finally came as we all sighed in relief. I waited for the other three to get into the bus before i took a deep breath in and stepped in the bus myself. I took off the jacket on my waist as i then put it on embracing how soft the interior was. My jacket was a nice pretty blue with gold star, with a fluffy collar around the hood that was a darker blur and had glow in the dark stars on. I then took out my wallet as i took out around five dollars and thirty-five cents as i gave it to the bus driver so i would be able to ride the bus. I took a sigh as i looked down the aisle before finding my friends, i walked all the way to the back of the bus as i sat down next to Jesse. I was a little confused as to why were in the back of the bus until i then noticed Jackie and Johnny cuddling up with one another as i then knew what that meant. "So when do you think Jacki and Johnny are gonna tell us that they're dating?" I asked Jesse as i took a hand to make my voice quieter. "No idea but it's pretty obvious that they're dating, or banging one of the two. Can i give you my honest opinion?" Jesse whispered back as he then asked me a question while he got closer to me to make sure our conversation would stay just between us. "Yeah go ahead, what is it?" I then asked while i raised and eyebrow at Jesse in confusion. "As much as i trust and love Jackie.... I don't really know if i want them to be my sibling-in-law.... Like don't get me wrong Jackie is a great person but... I feel like they're too good for Johnny you know? Like it seems too good to be true.." Jesse then admitted as i listened, then thought about what Jesse said. He wasn't really wrong, Jackie, Johnny, and Jesse have been friends since early childhood, the three were inseparable. Especially their acceptances of one another after Jackie had came out as non-binary, bisexual three years ago. All of them never got into a disagreement, nor an argument, it seemed like a fairy tale and like Jesse stated, too good to be true. "i just hope for the best, if they love each other why stop them? Sure it seems too good to be true, but why focus on that when we can live in the moment?" I then whispered to Jesse, while he thought about it he nodded before giving me a noogie. I then began laughing as i pushed my way out. "Stop that! Seriously man! Stop it!" I then said as i fell back because the bus had hit a speed bump and i accidentally ended up in Jesse's lap. I saw his face go a bright red before he quickly looked away, i brushed it off as him being embarrassed since Jesse didn't seem like the type of guy that was gay after all. Unless he was a straight-passing gay then who was i to say. I got off Jesse's lap as i playfully nudged his shoulder, "oh come on man, you can't tell me your getting embarrassed over an accident" I then stated playfully. "I-.... Shut up Y/N...." Jesse stated as he pouted, i just scoffed and gave a smirk before shrugging. I then leaned my head back as i felt a sudden wave of tiredness, so i then took out my phone and earbuds as i put on my favorite space themed playlist, as i then slowly began to dissociate and close my eyes, getting ready to enter dream world. I slept pretty peacefully throughout the rest of the ride until Johnny was shaking me away as i then took out my earbuds, putting them back in their case that i had painted myself, turned off my phone then put both my earbuds and phone back in my pocket. I followed the other three out of the bus, stepping out as we then began to walk over to our home that we shared. Johnny took out her set of keys as she then opened the door for us, while we walked in taking off our shoes and leaving our backpacks on the racks. "Ooooo!! How about we all tell stories tonight, while we all have some wine or something!" Johnny then stated with a big smile. I wasn't opposed to the idea, but then yet again i didn't really know if i wanted to do it at the same time. Jackie then smiled as they agreed, Jesse was quick to go get the wine and snacks as i sighed. "alright i'll join, but let me change and shower first, i feel gross after that one guy coughed on me." I then stated as i pointed towards my room with my thumb. "Oh! Y/N learn how to stop being such a germaphobe! it was a cough!" Jesse then said as he slowly began to put the wine back. I shook my head while rolling my eyes as i went over to my room. I began to undress myself, throwing my clothes except my jacket in the laundry basket, then i grabbed my towel and made my way over to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the bathroom mirror for a while. I made note of everything on my body and every little change. "I really need to start working out again" I sighed out as i made a disgusted face at myself. "How did i let myself go like this? Like? Why? How? Oh right.... Because of the fact depressions hit me hard this past month.. I really need to start taking my medication again." I said as i then looked away from the mirror and turned on the shower, making sure the temperature was just right, yet still on the warmer side. I set down my towel on the toilet seat as i got in the shower, closing the curtain. After my shower i felt much better and more refreshed, especially after the long day i had, as i grabbed my towel wrapping it around my waist after i was done drying myself off. I walked over towards the mirror again, opening a drawer, grabbing a pair of scissors as i decided i didn't like my current hairstyle as much as i thought, and i also just generally needed a hair cut anyways. I began snipping away at piece's of my wet hair, making sure i was styling it the way i thought would of look good. When i was done i replaced the scissors with an electric shaver. I then shaved my five-a-clock shadow making sure i looked as fresh as i felt. When i was done i grabbed a hair dryer, turning it on, and drying my hair off making sure i fluffed it in the process. In the end i loved my new hair cut, it suited my face better, and frankly i liked the style better. It turned out like a fluffy layered hair cut that the ends naturally curled upwards. I smiled at myself in the mirror, proud of my work and my new look, but it was short-lived as I began making my way back to my bedroom and putting on some basic black tank top and star theme pajama pants. I walked out of my bedroom seeing that the other three idiots had got comfortable and were already set up. "There you are! Oh and now look who all the sudden cares about his hair!" Johnny stated, while she got up quickly, taking my arm and setting me up. We all were now in a circle, Jesse was already pretty half drunk, Jackie was already snacking on the food, and Johnny was making sure everything was prefect the way she would of liked it. Around like an hour or two later, of telling different stories while i zoned out half of them since they didn't seem interesting, Jesse was now black out drunk, leaving me, Johnny, and Jackie awake and telling stories. Eventually however a story did catch my attention. "Have any of you heard about the war between monsters and humans many years ago?" Jackie asked as they got close to both me and Johnny. "No we haven't." Both me and Johnny said at the same time. "well you see.... Many years ago Monsters and Humans co-existed with each other in peace, both were the watchers of the stars. However.... War broke out, although the war was long and hard, the humans ended up victorious as they locked away the monsters in an space themed underground, locking them in Mount Ebott. It's been reported that the ones who fall under there, never return...." Jackie then said softly as they leaned in close to us. I was more then intrigued at this point I was invested. Why did a war occur? Why were the monsters locked underground? Whos making sure no one leaves? What's keeping the monsters underground? There was so many questions left unanswered and all the sudden I really wanted to find out more, however Johnny stated that it was time for bed since there was a big exam tomorrow, of course my luck, I had forgotten about the big exam that was tomorrow and I was more then unexcited. I grunted as I got up, stretching as i head over to my bedroom after hugging both Johnny and Jackie a goodnight. I grabbed my melatonin, took some, then I went under my covers, not long after, passing out. My dreams were nothing other then the mere thought of the war, the monsters, the humans, everything, wanting answers, before my alarm then went off. I woke up in cold sweat as i checked what time it was. six a.m, already?! I sighed as i got out of bed, already smelling the breakfast being made by Johnny, as i began to get ready, i threw on a black t-shirt, my jacket, and a pair of blue jeans. I than took a brush and began to brush my hair fluffing it out. I walked out of my bedroom as i see Johnny wide awake and already having four plates of breakfast ready and made out. I sat down at the dining table, picking up my fork and began to eat. When i was done eating, Jackie had woken up and came out for breakfast. "Is anyone gonna wake up Jesse or?" I asked as i waited a response, "Nah, if he's late he's late, it's his own problem, after all he's the one who got himself drunk when he knew there was an exam today." Johnny stated, while Jackie agreed, before going ham on the breakfast. I shrugged, walking over to the front door, grabbing my backpack, and putting on my shoes. I opened my backpack and felt the sudden urge to put more things in there. So i went in my room and began putting an extra five pairs of clothes for some reason, my tooth brush, toothpaste, hairbrush, reading glasses, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, my phone, my phone charger, my earbuds, my earbuds charger, and some extra books. I had no idea why i felt like all of this was important when it wasn't, but if i had the feeling it must mean something. I closed my backpack, putting it on my back as i began to make my way out of the door. I closed the door behind me as i began walking towards the collage campus but i was hit with a sudden wave of nervousness and anxiety. So i decided to just ditch collage today, I'll do my exam tomorrow.  I decided to then make my way over to a store for some snacks, but on the way i noticed Mount Ebott. I stared at the Mountain before my curiosity got the best of me, and plans changed. I slowly made my way over Mount Ebott, then climbing it, and when i got to the top i was shocked by how beautiful the scenery was, everything from the fresh air, the vines, and flowers the surrounded everything. I was so amazed that i didn't even watch where i was going, and as a result i tripped on a vine, next thing i know, I was falling in a hole that seemed never ending, i screamed before suddenly, before i knew it, everything went dark. I had passed out after hitting the ground hard enough......
