The morning sun cast a warm glow over the school campus, bathing the hallways in a soft light as students filtered in, chatting and laughing as they made their way to their classes. Chan walked beside Seungmin, their hands brushing occasionally as they navigated the familiar path to their lockers. It was a new day, and Chan felt a mixture of nerves and excitement buzzing beneath his skin.

Today, he was going to tell his friends about Seungmin. They hadn't been together long, but Chan knew he wanted to be open about their relationship. He was tired of hiding, tired of the secrecy that had plagued his life for so long. Seungmin deserved better, and so did he.

As they approached the spot where Changbin and Han usually hung out before class, Chan took a deep breath, his fingers lightly brushing Seungmin's as a silent signal of reassurance. Seungmin gave him a small, encouraging smile, and Chan felt his resolve solidify.

"Hey, guys!" Chan called out as they reached their friends.

Changbin looked up from his phone, a grin spreading across his face. "Chan! Seungmin! What's up?"

Han was beside him, finishing off a bite of his breakfast sandwich. "Morning," he mumbled through a mouthful of food, his eyes flicking curiously between Chan and Seungmin.

"Morning," Chan said, his voice steady despite the flutter of nerves in his stomach. He glanced at Seungmin, who nodded encouragingly. "So, I wanted to tell you guys something."

Changbin raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What is it?"

Chan took a deep breath. "Seungmin and I... we're dating."

The words hung in the air for a moment, and Chan felt the tension coil in his chest as he waited for their reactions.

Han's eyes widened, and he nearly choked on his sandwich. "Wait, what? You're serious?"

"Yeah," Chan confirmed, his voice gaining strength. "We've been hanging out a lot recently, and... well, we decided to give it a shot."

Changbin blinked, his expression shifting from shock to a grin. "Dude, that's awesome! I didn't see that coming, but it makes sense. You two are great together."

Han nodded, still processing but clearly supportive. "Yeah, congrats, man. I mean, it's a little surprising, but I'm happy for you both."

Seungmin blushed slightly at the compliments, but he smiled, relieved that their friends were so accepting. "Thanks, guys. We wanted to be upfront about it."

"Of course," Changbin said, clapping Chan on the back. "You don't need to hide anything from us. We've got your back."

Chan felt a wave of relief wash over him, the tension in his chest easing as his friends' acceptance sank in. This was what he had needed—support, understanding, and the comfort of knowing that he wasn't alone in this.

They spent the rest of the morning together, chatting and laughing as they made their way to their first classes. It felt good, natural, like a weight had been lifted off Chan's shoulders. He could breathe easier, knowing that his friends were behind him.

At lunch, the group gathered in their usual spot outside, enjoying the warm weather. Chan sat beside Seungmin, their legs touching under the table as they shared a quiet conversation about their plans for the weekend. Everything seemed to be going well until Chan noticed Hyunjin approaching them from across the courtyard.

Hyunjin's expression was unreadable as he reached their table, his eyes flicking between Chan and Seungmin before settling on Chan. "Hey, can we talk?"

Chan nodded, excusing himself from the table as he stood up. Seungmin gave him a questioning look, but Chan squeezed his hand reassuringly before following Hyunjin a few steps away from their friends.
