Truth or Lies

“Yummy….” I mumbled as I ate a marshmallow. I looked around and saw thousands of sweets around me. I was about to grab a giant ice cream cone when….

Thud! I groaned and rubbed the back of my head. As I looked down I saw my legs wrapped around my pillow and the corner of my pillow wet. I looked up at my alarm clock and almost fainted. The green numbers read 6:35. Oh my god! I was not going to have enough time to get ready and get to school on time.

I dashed towards my bathroom door and almost slipped on one of my shirts. I took a quick shower, brushed out my hair, got dressed, and brushed my teeth in record time. I took a minute to admire myself in the mirror, not that it really mattered, but yeah…

I looked at my plain brown hair put up in a high ponytail with my bangs framing my face, a lacy graphic tunic, short shorts, and some black converse. Now I’m not a girl who would ever wear short shorts so I was about to go back to change when I was stopped by my mom yelling for me to and I quote “GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE!”

Ahh…such a loving mom, can’t you tell? As I ran down the stairs, I jumped over the stair that always made me trip. HA! What now sta-! I was cut off when I tripped over the last step, falling flat on my face. Yea…I’m not clumsy at all….

Ok, moving on. Looking up, I saw my mom rolling her eyes at me. I gave her an innocent smile before getting up and dusting myself off. Now, what was I doing? I think it had something to do with being la- Wait! Late! I looked up at the clock to see that it was 6:50. Shit!

I hurriedly grabbed my bag and kissed my mom on the cheek. “Bye Mom!” I yelled, dashing out the door. I ran down the sidewalk hoping to still make it to school. I ran and ran….then I saw a car stop next to me. I turned to look at it and saw Melinda Meadows, the girl who always argues with my friend, Melanie.

“Well, if it isn’t the dog.” She smirked. I glared at her.

“I’m not their dog. I’m their friend.” I replied, walking away.

                “…Need a ride?” Melinda asked.

I snapped my head back at her. “What did you say?”

“Well, since we’re on the same way and it will probably piss off the bitch I guess I can help you out.” She said, nonchalantly. “You getting in or not?”

                “I don’t know….” I replied, unsure.

“Well, I guess I’ll be on my way.” She said, smirking yet again.

“Fine!...Wait! I can’t be late!” I yelled, quickly getting into the car.

She rolled her eyes and we drove off. We arrived in a matter of minutes and Melinda got out of the car and waited for me to get out too so she could, I'm guessing, lock the car. Just as I got out of the car I saw Melanie walked, no strutted, towards us in her heels. The wind blew back her strawberry blonde hair, making her look more beautiful usual.

Her other friends trailed behind her. Did I happen to mention that she didn't look very pleased?

Oh shit, I did NOT think this through.

Hey people. I'm new at Wattpad and this is my first story. I'm not sure if this is a good story plot or not but I guess I'll find out. I might decide to take this story off the Watty Awards since the only reason I'm really putting it in the contest is to see if people like this story. Oops, I'm talking too much. Sorry the chapter was short, it'll be longer next time. Ok, so VOTE AND COMMENT! :)
