Ryan and Sean were at the airport café drinking their coffees and waiting for their airplane to New York. They'd been there for like 30 minutes and Ryan had just finished his third coffee, and Sean just leveled up his candy crush.
When Ryan just about to go to the counter to order another coffee, a girl walked into the room, she was wearing long black coat and a black jeans and black hat. Ryan was stunned, he just stood there watching the door girl at the counter.
Maybe it was because he drank too much caffeines or maybe because he ate too much hot pockets this morning. He wasn't sure. Or maybe that smile on her face that made his heart beat faster than ever.
And also there was something about her, just something.
"Hey, dude. What are you doing?" Sean called his name but Ryan could not careless. All he think about was the girl that right now just sat down in the corner of the café.
"Ryan? Hello? Ryan!" finally he bliked a few times."What?" he asked and sat back.
"Why were you watching her?" Sean asked, his eyebrows furrowed.
Crap. Just play dumb Ryan, he thought"Watching who?"
"That girl, the one with the black coat, and brown hair," he rolled his eyes, he knew that Ryan just play dumb. "Dude, don't play dumb," he said again."Em.. I don't play dumb, what are you talking about?" he asked, play dumb again.
"Whatever, bro." Sean gave up and ate his muffin."Haha, I knew you'd give up. I'm going to the counter, need anything?"
"Just coffee, thanks" Sean said as Ryan stood up and began to walk.He ordered two cups of coffee and a bagel. As he waited, he looked around and his eyes glued on her, again. She had no idea he was looking straight at her. All her attention was on her phone, and whatever it was, it made her smile a bit.
Well, that just sad, he thought.
Suddenly, she looked up from the phone and somehow found her eyes to his with a questioned look on her face. Ryan was spying on a girl he just met and got caught. He was surprised and pretend to looked away immediately.
Damn, he cursed. Finally, the waiter gave his drinks and a bagel and he went back to his seat.
Well, that was embarrassing, he thought again.
Little did he know, that the girl was coming to his way. As she got closer, she wondered who is this guy, I think I somehow have seen him before. Well, maybe.
"Hey," she smiled to him when they finally face to face. Her eyes, so browny.
"Um.. Hey" he returned the smile. And he literally thought he was going to die because his heart was beating so fast.
"I think I saw you looking at me from the counter. Is everything okay?" she asked with a smile on her face.
That smile, when you smile like that makes me want to take you home, well he never thought about that line until now.
"Em.. Yes, everything just fine. And I think you misunderstood, I wasn't exactly looking at you. I was just looking around this place ya know. This place is nice," he stretch his back of neck nervously.
She smiled again, "okay then, have a nice day,"
"Have a nice day," he smile nervously and after that, she walked past through him and opened the door. He sighed and went back to his chair.
"Okay, what was that about?" Sean asked as he grab the coffee from Ryan's hand.
"Nothing, just a girl I just met," he said, as he drank his coffee and he thought why didn't he ask for her name or her number when they talked five minutes a go.
"And a girl you were spying on," Sean added with an evil smile on his face.
"I wouldn't call it spying, I was just, you know, looking at her,"
"Yeah, looking at her from the moment she walked in," Sean added.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. And you know what the worst part is?" Sean shook his head and raised his eyebrows.
"I don't know her name, and for the first time I thought she was the one," he paused, a sad look painted on his face.
"And I'll never see her again," he finally said that, the only thing that had been bothering his mind.
"Don't worry, bro. You'll find someone,"
"I hope so," Ryan said as their final call to New York filled the room.
