"It's so beautiful."

"ARRGHHHHHHHH?"

Suo was confused as he saw Lili jumping off the sofa. Lili glanced over at him, her cheeks flushed after realizing what he meant.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" She whispered at him, pointing like he did a grave and unforgivable offense.

"Huh?" Suo tilted his head, struggling to comprehend the abrupt shift in the atmosphere. His gaze flitted between the rose in her hair and her face.

"Do you—just go around and call people—"

She paused, taking a deep breath.

"That?" She said, throwing daggers at the innocent-looking Suo.

"You said it twice!" She shot him a sharp look.

"You're the first one I said that to." He replied.

"Pretty?" She repeated, remembering the other day when he said that.

It made her heart pound in anticipation.

She thought as she bit her lips, looking for an explanation. The way he kept mentioning that word frequently made her heart thump loudly and Lili didn't want to admit that.

"Yeah. You are beautiful." He said, looking straight into her eyes.

"Stop." She looked the other way. "I'm overacting," she thought as she winced, closing her eyes.

"Did I do something wrong?" Suo stood, noticing how red her ears were, meaning she was embarrassed. It often happens when she lies, and Suo has caught on.

Lili shook her head.

"You are red. Do you have a fever?" He was about to place a hand on her forehead.

"ARGHHHH NO?!" Lili yelled as Suo tried to get a look at her face. She resembled a beetroot as she shielded him from looking at her.

"Sorry." Suo ruffled his hair, not understanding the situation. He was worried she might collapse, seeing how badly she was blushing.

A thought struck his mind.

"Was I too obvious with my feelings?" he wondered.

Yes sir, you were.

"Lili. You are injured." He held her by the hem of her jacket. Lili sat down at once, remembering it as well.

Another scene flashed in her mind, one that involved Suo carrying her and his protective embrace when she got hurt. She stared at his hands, the ones that held her.

"Lili, are you okay?" Suo peeked at her ankle, wondering if it was the pain that tormented her. It wasn't the pain that was tormenting her.

"Yeah, thanks," she said, removing her palm, which she kept on her face.

"You're welcome." He smiled.

Suo noticed the color of the rose matched with her face.

"Do you want something from me?" Lili asked as she crossed her arms, wondering if he had ulterior moves.

He paused for a while, and when he finally spoke, Lili was stunned.

"Yes."

"What?"

Suo had never asked her anything till now. Lili looked at him in surprise. He wanted something from her.

"What is it?" She whispered, and a sense of dread settled in her stomach.

"Well."

Suo said, and he shifted to the side, dodging another one of her kicks. She was on her feet, fuming angrily at the unfazed man.

"YOU'RE PLAYING WITH ME, AREN'T YOU?"

"No, I'm not." He answered calmly, pointing to the sofa.

"Please," he added.

Lili sighed, sitting on the sofa next to him. She shouldn't be moving around much, but she couldn't help it.

She was so embarrassed that he always caught her when she was flustered.

Why should it be him? She wondered.

It's always been him.

"I wanted to know if you'd eat lunch with me. I heard a new noodles shop opened; let's go together."

Suo looked at her, anticipating her response.

"Is that what you wanted?" she threw daggers at him.

"Yes. I want to spend more time with you." He smiled as he answered, and Lili nervously tilted her head, biting her lips.

"Sure." She responded. It's nothing new, she reminded herself.

"Maybe I can apologize to Umemiya-san if I see him on the way," she thought, looking at Suo.

"And I had no clue you go to dance classes," Suo said, holding back a smile. Lili turned red at his words; he was back at it again.

Lili brushed the hair from her eyes.

"Is your diet over?" She asked, remembering the excuse he had given earlier.

"Yeah. I have to make it up for getting you all flustered, shouldn't I?" Lili could have sworn he smirked. It made her blush, and for some reason, she didn't want to hide her face anymore.

"It's your fault." She blamed him.

Suo looked surprised at her statement. His lips crooked into a smirk as he realized what she said.

Lili wasn't denying her feelings anymore.
