Backstory:
During the Medieval era there was a humble Puppeteer who would go from town to town and entertain folks.

That Puppeteer was you.

Your name is (Y/N) (L/N) and you loved your job, you loved seeing the smiles on people's faces as you entertained them.

You loved making new puppets and coming up with new stories, however as the years went by you began to feel a creeping lonliness.

You traveled alone and while you loved your puppets, you understood they were just lifeless creations and you craved connection.

Unfortunately, you could never find someone who genuinely liked you.

Despite how most loved your puppet shows, they were never interested in puppet making or found your creations off-putting when not onstage.

You traveled in a large coach pulled by 2 horses and that is where you kept all the puppets you worked hard to make.

One day after a performance in a town you came across a supposed witch who offered you a rather interesting item.

Enchanted wood.

The "witch" said she could tell you craved a bond and she said if you were to carve the wood into a humanoid form it would gain sentience.

You of course didn't believe this, but you needed some fresh material for a new puppet and so you accepted.

Then at night you gazed at the wood and you decided instead of making a simple puppet you decided to humor the witch and make a complex human puppet.

You worked day and night, until finally you made a boy, who you named Carlos.
