Felix's POV

"Where's Hyunjin?" I asked as I approached Mr. Nam.

"Sir, he's downstairs in the basement with Lara," Mr. Nam replied calmly.

I nodded in acknowledgment and made my way to the basement. As I descended, I found Lara glaring daggers at Hyunjin, who was casually leaning against the wall, cigarette in hand. She looked like she was ready to explode, while he seemed unfazed, almost bored.

"Hey," I greeted.

Hyunjin glanced at me. "You're here. Got any plans today?"

"Nothing specific," I replied. "I was actually about to head home—"

"Then stay here. I've got a meeting with some investors soon. I don’t trust anyone else, so I need you to keep an eye on her."

I blinked in surprise. "Wait, me? No way. I'm not babysitting—"

"I'm not a baby!" Lara snapped, her eyes flashing. "Are you blind? Can't you tell the difference between a grown woman and a child?"

Hyunjin smirked. "See what I mean? I can't deal with her yelling all day."

"But you can't just leave her with me!" I protested.

"I can. And I will," Hyunjin said with a shrug, before walking past me and up the stairs.

I muttered under my breath. *Great.*

"Just untie me, please! I swear, I can take care of myself. You don’t need to watch me." Lara’s voice was desperate, her eyes pleading.

I shook my head. "Look, I might be nice, but I'm not dumb enough to untie you and risk getting us both in trouble."

She sighed in frustration. "I swear, I'm not who you think I am—"

"Yeah, sure," I cut in. "I'm Lee Felix, by the way. One of Hyunjin’s trusted people. Nice to meet you."

"I don’t care who you are! I need to get out of here!" she yelled, clearly fed up.

"Lara, just hold on a bit longer. We’re not keeping you here forever. We just need to make sure—"

"—that my dad dies?" she interrupted, her voice filled with anger. "Well, guess what? He’s already dead! What more do you want from me? And I’m not even Kato Lara! She’s a classmate of mine! We don’t even look alike. My name is Nami Yun! I’m just a regular girl. My dad’s gone, my stepfather is abusive, and my mom’s no better. There’s nothing here for you to gain!"

Her outburst caught me off guard. "Wait... if you're not Lara, then who are you really?"

"I told you, I'm Nami Yun! Now please, just let me go!"

I frowned. "You're going to hurt yourself if you keep struggling like that."

"I don’t care!" she shot back, voice shaky with frustration.

I sighed, pulling out my gun and pointing it in her direction. "One more move, and I’ll have to stop you."

She froze, eyes wide with fear. "W-What? Are you crazy?"

I realized I was being too harsh. "Sorry," I said, lowering the gun. "I just need you to calm down. I'm not going to hurt you."

She rolled her eyes. "Some apology."

"Look," I said, trying to soften my tone. "I’m not the one who shoots people for no reason. But Hyunjin might, so... for your own sake, behave."

She stayed quiet, still glaring at me.

"If you're hungry, let me know. I’ll ask someone to bring you food—"

"I am hungry," she said quickly.

I raised an eyebrow. "That fast? You burned through a lot of energy with all that yelling."

"Just get me some food," she muttered, clearly irritated.

"Fine," I said with a chuckle. "You're lucky you're kind of cute, or I'd ignore your demands."

She rolled her eyes again. "Get lost."

I headed upstairs and asked the maid to prepare some food. Then, I told one of the guards to take it down to the basement.

When I returned, Lara was still glaring at me the second I walked in. "What now?" I asked.

"How am I supposed to eat with my hands tied?" she snapped.

"Oh. Right. Let me help you."

"No! I don’t need your help," she said, turning her face away.

"Suit yourself," I said, shrugging. "You either eat now or go hungry for the rest of the day. Hyunjin doesn’t usually allow his... guests to eat. You’re lucky he asked me to stick around."

She huffed, clearly torn. I could tell she was stubborn, but hunger was winning.

I sighed. "Well, if you’re not going to eat, I’ll just take this back upstairs—"

"Wait!" she shouted, her voice softer this time.

I raised an eyebrow. "What?"

She bit her lip. "I’ll eat."

"I didn’t catch that."

"I said I’ll eat," she repeated in a quieter tone, avoiding eye contact.

"I still can’t hear you," I teased.

"I want to eat!" she shouted, her frustration evident.

I laughed at her expression. "Alright, alright, chill. I’ll feed you."

I sat beside her, scooping up some rice and chicken. She eyed the spoon warily.

"Can you take smaller bites?" she asked, cringing at the amount of rice.

"I thought you were hungry," I said, raising an eyebrow.

"I am. Just not that much."

I was about to say something when her stomach growled loudly.

I chuckled. "Sure you’re not."

I continued feeding her, more carefully this time, and she ate without much more protest. A few minutes later, the door creaked open, and Chan walked in, looking puzzled.

"Uh, Felix... what’s going on here? Who is this?" he asked, eyeing us.

"This is... Lara," I said, keeping it vague. "And don't tell Hyunjin I fed her."

Chan raised an eyebrow. "Why are you feeding her? You could’ve just untied her and kept the gun on her."

I shrugged. "This works too."
