as all hargreeves siblings gathered outside, zero couldn't help but to find it a bit poetic how the rain decided to fall on such a day. yes if it were truly a sad day maybe she would weep like the sky or melt into mud like the dirt beneath her feet.

but this wasn't a sad day. at least not for zero. she had an impending apocalypse to look forward to or it could've been quite the reach and five could've been talking about a different lolly and zero could possibly just be thinking crazy things since she had just woken up after being asleep for 17 years.

though deep down she knew it was all real, every stolen glance at five that zero found her eyes snapping over to came at an even bigger surprise seeing him look back. she could tell what he was thinking, what he was feeling by just a look into his eyes. he was confused, scared, and stressed above all else.

the apocalypse however would be a vanishing thought now though as they circle around for their fathers funeral. though if zero had a clue on what an emotion felt like anymore she knew she would've laughed at how the dust like ashes of who was once sir reginald hargreeves dumped onto the ground in a small sad pile.

how far he's fallen. literally.

"it um probably would've been better with some wind."

"hmm no the sad lonely pile suits him doesn't it? i think him being dumped onto the mud filled ground is quite poetic." with a ghost of a smile everyone couldn't help but look over at zero. klaus going as far as to giggle and five being next to her only looked at her with faint amusement.

zero unbeknownst to her traveled back into her mind searching through every memory every dream like vision in her mind that she could remember about the apocalypse. it was a funny thought that in a way she as well was 58 mentally but also in her 30's yet in a 13 year old body. the fiasco of it was laughable, but what she couldn't shake off was how it was that in the last moments of her life after every single one of her family members died trying to save the world she somehow transferred her soul into what was once her favorite doll lolly.

but maybe this time they wouldn't all fail, this time they had five.

though in a way she could say she always had five, being stuck in lolly's body. though that didn't answer the question on how pogo was able to wake her back up or why she never aged or who this one lady was in her vision that took five away from his apocalyptic life. then in turn left her- well lolly stuck in that world alone, her soul still stuck in her dolls body.

too many questions were left unanswered and it was too much to bare, there wasn't much time left and as her siblings voices made their way back into her ear she realized there wasn't much time left for whatever argument was going on now.

"yknow you of all people should be on my side number one! he had to ship you a million miles away because he couldn't stand the sight of you! not only that he had zero's parents murdered just to get her ass into the academy!"

in a second it felt as though everyone's eyes snapped to zero's form. her grip on her black lacy umbrella faltered as she turned her head to face diego and luther who stared back at her their eyes going wide.

"he... what?"

everyone was rendered speechless but as she looked everyone in the eyes except for one who was avoiding eye contact with her at all costs staring at the floor like it was more interesting is what made her smile her face contorting into a forced expression.

"all of you knew i presume?"

"zero we were force-"

"save it vanya we don't have time for this." and with a turn of her heel zero walked inside hearing the voices behind her grow even louder as who she assumed was none other than diego and luther getting into some caveman brawl of some sorts.

though she couldn't miss the footsteps trailing her not making even an attempt to speak he still continued to follow her on till the room of her door until she decided to spin around and look him straight in the face.

"zero i-"

"no don't even start on trying to say some half assed apology i unfortunately don't have emotions to feel a sort of way about this newly found information I've been so carefully kept from." turning around and opening her door zero motioned for him to come inside.

sitting on the floor in the middle of her room she patted the floor next to her.

"you know something don't you." five refused to give in and sit next to zero the anxiety of what she knew was weighing too heavily on his mind that he couldn't help but stay in the standing position his head tilted downwards at his doll-like acquaintance or perhaps friend? he never did have a title for their relationship, she didn't grow up with him for most of his childhood life like the rest of his siblings did so he never saw that relationship with her.

"i do happen to know something." with a finger twirling a strand of hair, zero looked up her face graced with a teasing smile. for this puppet had emotions only she herself stood in the way of ever realizing the extent her mind went to try and convince her she didn't.

"well spit it out zero we don't have all day!" with a frustrated sigh from five, zero let out a heart giggle.

"it's exactly that. we don't have all day... or should i say all week?"
