=AEVERIE=

IT'S been weeks since I last saw king Thranduil. And i'll admit, i'm missing his presence a lot. Not seeing him for a long time felt incomplete. Suffice to say, i'm missing him. I even thought I would never see him again. I mean---he is the king and he's always been busy and perhaps, he didn't feel the need to check on me all of the time, because I already have prince Legolas to do that.

But still---he hadn't checked on me since the last time we talked. Now how am I going to fulfill my promise to Legolas that I will take care of his father and be by his side, when we haven't even spoken to each other for such a long time? I mean, we're just in the same place but the probability of seeing him is close to impossible.

I can talk to him, I know... I can always do that, I could just go to his council room and talk to him freely, whenever I want... but the fact of the matter is---i'm actually scared. I fear that he might disregard me again. I don't want to feel his cold treatment towards me, because it might hurt me again. His indifference pains me because I am not used to it. Even though i've regarded him as cold, strict, or nonchalant, he's always treated me warmly. And realizing how gentle, kind and thoughtful he is, made me long for it, even more than I could admit. I wanted to see him but if doing so meant having him treat me indifferently, then i'd rather not see him. Even if not seeing him hurts me.

WEEKS passed and the Woodland Spring Feast is fast approaching. Every year, Woodland elves would celebrate the coming of spring. Freshly picked flowers, songs, tales, dances would fill the halls of the realm, as well as long tables filled with delicious elvish dishes. However, this time, the woodland elves will celebrate it alongside the people of Willowmere and with their princess, Aeverie Everhart.

Since the battle in Willowmere, the elves were a bit more jolly than they had been. Many had been making flower ornaments, started preparing the music, gathering fresh seasonal foods and were drinking more wine than usual. All of them are looking forward to the feast. Including of course, princess Aeverie who felt honored and delighted at celebrating this special feast amongst the woodland elves.

She had been more sociable than normal and found that the elves adored her so much. They even said it was also a feast welcoming her and her people as part of the woodland realm. She also came to realize how much the elves loved their king and how much they wanted to celebrate with him. She learned that they would make flower crowns for him and offer them as homage. A young beautiful elleth even came to her and asked her if she'll be making one as well.

Aeverie's stomach jumped lightly with a sensation she had felt before, a familiar feeling. The thought of her making a crown for the elven king is sending strange sensations through her body.

'You should try princess.. it would be a nice gift for the king.' the young elleth said with a sweet smile.

Aeverie bit her lower lip. After a short deliberation, she nodded her head and the other elleths started teaching her how to make a crown. The thought of the elven king wearing the crown she's going to make is making her heart flutter.

She knew, something had changed or perhaps grew inside of her after that night they spent together on that tower. She had only then realized the depth of her attraction to the elven king. She came to the realization that perhaps, she had always been attracted to him since the first time she laid eyes on him. And spending moments with him in this kingdom, she didn't feel as if he is someone she knew from afar, she had always felt he was someone close to her and that she respected him more and understood him more.

Perhaps, she had always wanted to feel this close to him in her heart but never really felt he was reachable. Until he took her in and actually start caring for her...
