Another day, another school day. I walk into school with my hair a mess, already sweating, and feeling my shitty perfume wear off already. I head into homeroom, just to realize I forgot my hair brush! I silently curse to myself, knowing that today would be a bad day.
"Bloody hell," I think to myself, as I put on more deodorant, the second time that day already I did. I take a look at the people I am by now familiar with in my math class. A bunch of buffoons I see. Some people are okay. Some don't talk, one I could go as far as to classify as my friend, and some are actually super sweet. My school is way better than my old school.
But of course, my math class never learns to be quiet. My teacher stops every five minutes just to scold us, which sucks. I just want to get my work done, and head to second period, where I can actually see my damn friends. But my damn teacher never does anything...
After what seems to be an eternity, class ends. Everyone scurries out, and I walk to the gym. I'm usually one of the first ones there, since i usually speed walk to the gym, so I put my bag down, and wait for my friend, Yazmin. Yazmin is my second friend I made at school, and though we didn't talk a lot, we talk whenever we can now.
I see her walk in, and I wave her over. "Sup, Yaz," I say, watching her put her stuff down. I fix my fluffy, ginger hair. Sometimes I regret dying my hair ginger, and giving myself blonde bangs. But hey, my hair looks good short, and styled. Long hair wasn't my style. It didn't feel right on me.
"Hey, Riley." Yaz smiled back, and I saw her emerald eyes dart to my bag. I know what she's about to ask. "Do you have any gum?"
I nod, rolling my eyes teasingly, and hand her a piece of gum. "Yeah. Here. But that's the only one, you keep stealing all of mine." I laugh.
"Sorry, sorry. Just love mint gum." Yaz laughs with me, popping the gum in her mouth. We walk to our seats in PE, and I look over to see my crush, Jay. I've liked Jay since the second day of school, so not too long, considering it's the third week. But I'm starting to lose feelings. He stares at me a lot in PE, but I see him talking to a lot of girls in fifth period!
And of course, we're playing dodgeball. But my teachers let us walk if we want, which me, Yaz, and our other friend, Amy, went to immediately. We watched everyone play dodgeball, while talking about random shit. We saw our other friend, Jessica, walk over.
"Ugh, this class sucks." She rolled her eyes. We all nodded in agreement, and kept walking around the gym. Jessica and Amy walked away, leaving me and Yaz alone. I usually do the talking between us, so I started to rant.
"I hate when balls hit me in the boob! Like oh my gosh!" I whined. I blushed when I saw my crush stare at me after I said that. "..oh my gosh."
Yaz looked over at Jay, and smirked. "Do you want me to tell him you like him?" She asked, nudging my arm with her elbow. I scoff, putting a hand on my hip.
"Hell no," I say, "as if he likes me."
"Uh huh..." Yaz giggled. We kept walking, until class ended. Me and Yaz walked to the hallway. Sadly, she has social studies, I have science. We wave each other goodbye, and we go to our class.
I don't know people in my third period, except the girl next to me and two other guys. Both I hate. One is just weird, and one likes me...
Me and the girl next to me, Priya, started talking. I may have a tiny crush on her too. She's pretty, nice, funny... Maybe, maybe not. I'm not sure yet.
"Did you do the homework?" Priya asks, as she took her laptop out. I shake my head.
"No, I forgot. Don't we have a test today?" I ask, fixing my hair a bit.
