The morning sunrise is near, although the sky is still a tad bit dark. A valley awaits the sun and soon they will reunite. In this valley is a fortress. It has tall walls that seem impassible. A large red door with a gold dragon design is the only way in or out. The fortress has no roof, it's open space. And the inside contains several buildings connected by a stone pathway. Some are homes built for the whole fortress to use. Some are armories to store the weapons. Some are towers to give a great vantage of the surroundings. But the fourth and last building at the back of the fortress is the most important. It holds a single prisoner, and this fortress is designed to make sure that prisoner never escapes.
Two guards stand cladded in armor in front of the door. Hey it looks like a morning fog is setting in, one guard says. There was a sudden build up of white air surrounding them. No, that other guard says. This is not a fog, it's too sudden and cloud-like. This is mist magic. We must warn the others. They get swallowed by the mist as it surrounds the fortress but it's not high enough to reach over the walls. A voice hidden by the mist speaks. Mist art: encompassing clouds of limited sight. The guards aim their spears into the mist. But soon tiredness takes hold of them and they call asleep. You see a unique property of mist is any drug or something similar within the user is spread into the most as well. However this specific user is immortal, and immortals are more resistant to things like that. Which means they'd need ten times the dose of ten times the time to take effect. A little girl comes out of obscurity and stands in front of the door. Explosion art: bubbling excitement, a spiking ball of explosion magic forms in her hands. She throws it at the door blasting it open. The mist pours in covering the ground. She walks in the fortress and no longer being in the mist her face is visible. She wore a black kimono and her hair was also black and short. Her eyes however were multi-colored like a rainbow. I leave the rest up to you, she says. Two more came from the mist but they were wearing black cloaks. The guards of the fortress rush at the three. One of the cloaked figures draws a sword from its sheath which was hidden behind his cloak. He cuts down the first two guards who were in front of him. But five more charge at him. Fire art: burning strikes, his blade ignites into a flame and he cuts them all down in succession. Using an art on this trash, very sloppy brother, the other cloaked man said. This man draws his own sword. He then proceeds to make quick work of all guards who were left. They both sheath their blades. What do you want us to do now, the one with the flaming sword asks. Burn it, the girl responds. She then enters the prison building. It was a six sided room that had two levels. On the bottom was a steel cage which sealed the prisoner. And on the top were twelve more guards ready to ambush all who came inside. They jumped down aiming to kill the girl. Lava art: melt, she fires to streams of lava one from each hand. She melts the building down and buries the soldiers in lava. She approaches the cage. Sealing technique release. The cage opens revealing the prisoner. It was a young boy who wore villager clothes. His hair was short and brown but his eyes were glowing red. She offers him a hand up. We are here to help you, please let us. He takes her hand and gets onto his feet with her help. He looks upon the fortress that held him captive for so long now on fire and burning up. What's your name, the girl asks. Kou, the boy answers. What's yours, he asks. My name is Itami, she replies. And at the same time the sun rises and shines its light on them.
