+Tuesday+

It was a beautiful Tuesday morning at Night Raven College a perfect day to be outside, yet only few were as Crewel had assigned them to get certain plants and materials for a new potion assignment he had planned for them and all the other students were in their assigned classes doing their assignments and studying for exams and working on new lessons with Trein and generally having a good time, at least those who wanted to be in those classes at the time, which was almost everyone except for a few exceptions, some of the students were with Vargas doing drills and flying on their brooms actually enjoying the air that blown through their hair, others were in Savanaclaw doing their drills while waiting for their real practice with Leona since he was the spelldrive captain, there was another exception though, that being Leona Kingscholar as he was lounging around in the botanical gardens in a sunny spot under a beautiful green canopy of leaves and a few colorful wildflowers. 'When did they get those in here?' Leona thought looking up at the beautiful flowers in wonder. He didn't think too much of it though as he flipped over onto his stomach and started to get up, just as he got up and stretched though his phone started to ring. Rolling his eyes he looked at the caller ID, Falena, he declined with a tired sigh, he wasn't in the mood to talk to his obnoxious brother. Another call, Cheka, he hung up again. He sighs irritated because he knows who will call him nex- the third caller... his sister-in-law. He groans internally and with a fake smile answers the call cheerfully or as cheerfully as Leona could be. "Hey-" "save it Leona, I was trying to call you this whole time" as Leona's sister-in-law said this Leona's eyes widen in realization... it wasn't his brother or Cheka calling him, it was her the whole time. "I can explain-" Leona tried to calm her down but she wasn't having it "quiet Leona, I have had it up to here with you constantly ignoring us like we're nothing to you anymore... what's really wrong Leona?" she sounded worried but Leona wasn't going to get sentimental about anything. "Listen, I'm not purposely ignoring you guys, I just..." Leona sighed since he didn't know how to word it at all... how do you explain that you don't feel comfortable in a family that you're ridiculed in constantly by the maids, servants, and butlers, those who love your brother more than you just because you have a dangerous magic that can cause a drought? "Leona... what's all this really about?" she sounded like a mother trying to coax her cub to speak about their day, but Leona wasn't allowing it. "Don't worry about it... what do you need?" Leona asks noticing Ruggie coming into the botanical gardens obviously looking for him, but he didn't care. Ruggie apparently spots him and walks over but he puts his finger to his lips in a shushing gesture and Ruggie nods in understanding, he steps to the side but stays near Leona waiting patiently for the call to end. Leona is glad Ruggie can respect his privacy, but the words his sister-in-law are saying to him are upsetting him greatly. "I can't watch him for you guys, he shouldn't be in the school, especially on school days, the teachers won't like it" Leona tries to explain but his sister-in-law seems to have taken care of everything for him by speaking to Crowley, Crewel, and all the other professors, even Sam surprisingly. "How did you-" "I have my ways" Leona can practically hear the smirk on his sister-in-law's face. Leona sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose in slight annoyance. "You're so lucky that I don't have anything else to do this week" he mumbles and his ear twitches as he hears his sister-in-law laugh a bit "I know that Leona" she sounded really happy to hear that Leona could babysit Cheka. "When is he coming?" Leona asks sounding a bit bored, his brother is heard in the background of the call laughing with Cheka about something with their hair, did Falena do Cheka's hair? "Cheka will be there around noon, and you'd better be there Leona, no more skipping out on your duties" he hears his sister-in-law say with a growl in her voice, Leona gulps a bit nervous "don't worry I won't, plus everyone here loves Cheka, they could even help me if they wanted" Leona looked up at Ruggie who seemed to be giving him a knowing smirk. Leona glares at Ruggie silently daring him to say something but nothing came out of the hyena as they both waited for Leona's sister-in-law to tell him all the details and everything that Cheka needed while he was going to stay there. Leona forces a smile at the end of the call and in a sickly sweet voice speaks to his sister-in-law "alright, I guess we'll see the little menace then-" "Cheka is not a menace Leona, watch your tone" Leona gulps at his sister-in-law's tone and he sighs "sorry, but you did just spring this onto me out of the blue so..." Leona pinches the bridge of his nose but his sister-in-law wasn't sympathetic in the slightest "you brought this on yourself Leona, I tried to be nice, but no more nice lioness" and with that the call ended.
