Actions Speak Louder Than Words
Sometimes sorry isn't enough.Actions speak louder than words,
But what if actions fall short?
Sometimes, the words themselves can hurt,
And sorry won't undo the damage caused.
You hurt me more than you thought—
I convinced myself it was okay, but it's not.
You believed a sorry would erase it all,
But you did it for fun.
It wasn't fun for everyone.I warned you, didn't I?
Told you I wanted to leave it in the past.
You moved on faster than I could,
But I didn't.I still miss the place I call home,
Still miss what I had before.
I told you not to tell them—
But you didn't listen.
You played it off as a mistake
As soon as the secret slipped.Actions speak louder than words, but this time, they won't.
I laughed when you pulled my hair,
Pretended it was okay.
Seven years I endured the pain,
Swallowed my tears—
But it's never enough.
Never enough.Sitting in class, erasing memories from my mind,
It's still not enough.
The tears still glisten,
The scars still fresh on my heart.I helped you, didn't I?
Made sure you weren't alone on your first day,
But you moved on,
Never once considering what might come of it.
I tried to be nice,
Tried to be kind—
But now, I've given up on trusting you.
I'll put on an act for our friends and family,
But never again will I trust you.I've given up hoping you might change,
That you'll finally understand,
That you'll stop.
But you won't.You think everything's a joke—
But do you ever stop to think?
Just once, use your brain and ask,
"Would I like it if someone did the same to me?"Actions speak louder than words.
Sometimes sorry isn't enough.
Sometimes, it's better to never forgive—
But to forget before your mind changes.
Sometimes sorry isn't enough.________________________________________________
