CHAPTER 8. THE SECRET

While Jana and Paige were quietly cleaning the kitchen, Nika whispered someone to Charlotte. "Should we tell them?" "No Nika! Are you dumb?, they're gonna kill us!" Charlotte scolded Nika quietly, Nika scoffed. "We're done cleaning up the mess, can we go now?" Paige asked. Charlotte gestured to leave her dorm. Jana and Paige left, but Nika was still there. "Are you not gonna leave?" Charlotte asked while crossing her arms together, "Nah, I wanted to stay for a bit. If you want me to leave, I can" Nika said while pointing at the door. Nika shook her head, "You can stay", She said before sitting down on the couch, Nika slightly laughed and went to sit next to Charlotte. Nika put her arm around Charlotte's neck, Charlotte laid her head on Nika's shoulder. They both watch a movie while the lights slightly dim.

Half way through the movie, Nika noticed that Charlotte fell asleep. Nika smiled and decided to carry her to her bed. "She's very light", Nika said in a low tone. Nika set her down on the bed, covered her with a blanket and went back to the living room. Nika continued to stay in Charlotte's dorm and watched on the T.V. 

2:30A.M. Charlotte randomly woke up and went to her living room, "Nika?" She said in a tired voice. "Baby? Did I wake you up?" Nika said as she quickly stood up and rubbed her thumb on Charlotte's cheeks. "Why aren't you asleep?" Charlotte said, Nika laughed at the fact that she was talking to Charlotte when she's half awake. "Baby, let's get you back to bed. I'll sleep later" Nika was still slightly laughing. Charlotte managed to sleep again. Nika left the room and decided to sleep on the couch.

8:00A.M. Charlotte woke up, fully rested. She noticed Nika was still asleep on the couch, "Nika? Why is she sleeping on the couch?" Charlotte walked over to Nika, she looked so beautiful even though she's sleeping. "Nika, Wake up baby." Charlotte tried waking her up. Nika was knocked out bad, it was hard waking her up. Charlotte continued to try and wake her up for 5 minutes, then gave up. "She'll wake up on her own, I guess". A few minutes later, a loud alarm from Nika's phone rings. Charlotte jumps, she didn't expect that. Nika woke up calmly, she rubbed her eyes and stood up. "Good Morning, Nika" Charlotte said, "Hi baby" Nika said, before kissing Charlotte on the head and stepping into the bathroom. "Nika! I made you coffee! Hurry up and shower fast, we need to get on the court soon" Charlotte slightly shouted. "Got it" Nika said.

15 minutes later, Nika finished showering. She got out of the shower and quickly changed. "Finally, let's go to court now" Nika laughed, "Okay ma'am". They quickly left the dorm and both went to the court together. As they were almost to the court, Charlotte forgot her most important essential. "Shit! Don't fuck with me!" Charlotte panicked, "What's wrong?" Nika asked as she looked at Charlotte with a curious look. "I left my fucking camera in my dorm! It's not in my duffel bag!" Charlotte said while making many hand gestures, all Nika could do was laugh at her. "Baby don't worry, I'll get it for you." Nika suggested, Charlotte shook her head. "You have to to train. I'll get it myself, you go to the court." Nika smiled and kissed Charlotte on the forehead. "Alright, be safe." Charlotte smiled and quickly went to the stairs. 

As Charlotte was going up the stairs, her phone started ringing, It was an unsaved number. "Hello? Charlotte speaking" "I know your secret, Charlotte Williams." Charlotte paused, she stopped walking. "Excuse me?" Charlotte said. She was scared, nervous. Word's couldn't explain what she felt. "You're stupid, you know? Sneaking around with Nika Muhl, do you think the entire team would accept this?" The caller said, "Who are you." "You don't have to know Charlotte. But just know, I will always know everything about you." Before Charlotte could speak again, the caller hung up. "Fuck!", Charlotte quickly opened her dorm and took her camera. She rushed back downstairs, as she entered the court, she spotted Azzi. "Coach! Can I excuse Azzi for a sec?" Charlotte asked Coach Geno. "What for?" Coach Geno said while crossing his arms, "I need to talk with her about the media", That was the worst possibly lie that Charlotte could come up with, but it helped.

Azzi came, jogging towards. "Heyy, what's up?" Azzi said while smiling, her hands on her hips. "Azzi, I need your help." Charlotte said in a sharp tone, Azzi raised one eyebrow up and asked what happened. "Okay so, If you were in a secret relationship with someone, and no one from our team nor outside of our team knew. But someone outside of our team knows about it, plus you didn't tell anyone about it. What would you do?" Charlotte asked quickly, Azzi gasped loudly after processing the question. "Is it Nika?!" Azzi said loudly, the entire court echoed. Everyone looked at them, Charlotte gestured that nothing was wrong and to continue practicing. "Shut up! Just answer the question" Charlotte said while hitting Azzi's thigh. "Well, I would tell someone about it, and talk about it with the person who knows" Azzi said before smiling. "What if, you don't know the person" Charlotte said in a nervous tone, she knew that she was fucked. "Then babes, you got yourself a stalker. Now I got to get back on court, good luck tho!" Azzi said before standing up and leaving, she left Charlotte stunned.

"A... Stalker?.."
