Lee Minho wasn't the type to get involved in other people's lives. He kept to himself mostly, preferring the quiet comfort of his own world, where his thoughts and dance routines could flow uninterrupted. High school was just another stepping stone in his life—a temporary place filled with temporary people. Or so he thought, until the day he crossed paths with Han Jisung.

It was a normal afternoon in the music room when Minho first noticed him. He had been practicing a new dance routine, moving fluidly to the rhythm of a beat only he could hear. The world outside his movements was a blur, until it wasn't. There, by the door, was a boy with unruly brown hair and an infectious smile, watching with wide-eyed interest.

Minho stopped mid-step, catching Jisung's gaze. "Do you need something?"

Jisung grinned, completely unfazed by being caught staring. "You're really good."

Minho, never one for compliments, merely nodded, unsure of how to respond. He wiped the sweat from his brow, half-expecting Jisung to leave. Instead, the boy stepped further into the room, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"I'm Jisung, by the way," he said, his voice light and casual, like they were already friends. "Do you dance here often?"

"Yeah," Minho replied, his voice clipped. He wasn't sure why this stranger was so interested in him, but something about Jisung's presence was different. Unpredictable. "I come here after school to practice."

"Cool," Jisung said, glancing around the room. "I write music. Well, I try to. I was just passing by and heard your dancing. Do you dance to music, or just... I don't know... the rhythm in your head?"

Minho smirked slightly at the question, despite himself. "Both, I guess."

Their conversation was brief, but something about it stuck with Minho. For the next few days, he found himself thinking about Jisung more than he cared to admit. Maybe it was the way Jisung had spoken so easily, or the fact that he didn't seem fazed by Minho's usual aloofness. Whatever it was, it was enough to catch his attention.

A few days later, Jisung showed up again, this time with a guitar slung over his shoulder. He stood in the doorway of the music room, smiling as if they'd known each other for years.

"I thought maybe we could work on something together," Jisung suggested, holding up his guitar. "You dance, I make music. Seems like a perfect match."

Minho raised an eyebrow but didn't protest. "Sure," he said, his curiosity piqued. "Let's give it a shot."

And so, their partnership began.

This was the start of something bigger than either of them could have imagined. Over the next few weeks, Minho and Jisung spent their afternoons together, Jisung strumming away on his guitar, creating melodies that Minho could feel through his entire body. They worked in sync, despite their differences—Minho, with his quiet intensity, and Jisung, with his boundless energy.

It wasn't long before their time together became more than just about dance and music. They began hanging out after school, grabbing food, and talking late into the night about everything and nothing. Minho found himself opening up in ways he hadn't before, while Jisung shared his dreams of becoming a famous musician, unafraid to reach for the stars.

In the months that followed, they grew inseparable, their bond deepening in ways neither of them could have predicted. Minho, who once believed he didn't need anyone, began to realize that he'd never met someone like Jisung—someone who could pull him out of his shell without even trying.

And Jisung? Well, he found himself falling for Minho, though he couldn't quite find the courage to say it out loud.

But for now, their story was just beginning.
