Have I made it clear,
that I want you to be mine?

The atmosphere in the court was intense, but you were incredibly calm, the center of it all. Beneath your hair was a totally composed handsome face. Your eyes were focused on the volleyball in your hand as the referee's sharp whistle blew in your ears.On the other side of the court, Atsumu, who was standing at the front, immediately tensed up, staring intently at the volleyball in your hand. He accidentally glanced at Akagi behind him and noticed his arm trembling slightly at his side. Atsumu wasn't sure if it was because of the last two plays that left his hands numb and struggling to estimate the strength of the ball.
He gritted his teeth and shot you a sharp and challenging look from across the court.
With the crowd watching closely, the volleyball was tossed into the air for another jump serve, just like usual.
Bang!
The ball shot off from your palm, and everyone's eyes locked onto it. Akagi was focused with his legs instinctively moving toward the ball.
The teammates in front took a few steps back. Atsumu watched the volleyball spinning rapidly, noticing a faint white steam trail. "Supergravity," he called out loudly and clearly. Akagi's eyes narrowed, and the next moment, he pressed his tongue against his upper teeth. As he squatted hard, he shouted without hesitation, "Someone help me! Please!"
The moment Akagi called out, the volleyball slammed into his wrist with such force that he winced, his right eye squinting in pain. "Atsumu!" he shouted.
Atsumu responded instantly, and everyone held their breath. The commentator's voice cut through the tension:
"It's been caught! Inarizaki caught that devilish ball... Eh?! Wait, what just happened?"
As the commentator's surprised voice trailed off, everyone silently watched the ball that hit Atsumu's left arm and floated gently out of the court. He stood frozen, and Aran beside him noticed his mouth twitching. No one expected that the ball, which should've hit hard like the first one, would be so light this time.
In short, Akagi actually caught the ball at first, but Atsumu misjudged it as "super gravity" and sent it flying out. Kita's face was blank with shock.
"You idiot! This ball is totally different from the last one! What super gravity, you moron!"
"Huh? I was just guessing! Besides, it sounded and spun exactly like the first one!"
You, standing on the opposite side, watched the two guys with almost identical faces arguing and blinked.Actually, the first ball was just a fluke. Normally, I wouldn't use that much force to serve...
"You moron! Didn't you read the magazine? Even the dumb reporters could tell that his serve style is super tricky!"
"How was I supposed to know, idiot!"As they kept arguing, a death glare suddenly shot out from Inarizaki's rest area. The two of them froze, then quickly turned around and quietly went back to their positions.
Through the gap between them, you caught sight of Kita's expressionless face... and Daichi's too, in a way.
Even though they lost a point, Inarizaki didn't look serious anymore. In fact, everyone seemed more relaxed, and Atsumu was smiling again. They got it now—next time, they'd definitely be ready to receive the serve, no doubt about it.
Facing challenges and growing from them—that's the best part of the game.
You stood behind the serving line, looking down at the volleyball. Scoring that last point was a nice surprise. You glanced up at the scoreboard in the middle of the arena. The big 3-0 on it was hard to miss.
