BARRISTER:
Do you wish to oath or affirm.

ALAN TANNER:
I'd like to affirm.

TONY LONDON:
Now Mr Tanner, how long have you known Mr Troughton.

ALAN TANNER:
28 years since his kind came up north, they soured our northern way of life.

HELEN TATE:
Objection your honour, the witness forgets he is a Southerner too. Therefore, there's regional bias.

ALAN TANNER:
Shut up.

JUDGE DUNSTABLE:
Overruled Ms. Tate.

TONY LONDON:
How did Mr Troughton sleeping with your daughter make you feel Mr Tanner.

ALAN TANNER:
Well, I've always held my daughter in full esteem. He started a war when he crossed paths with me, I'm a law obedient citizen who has never been arrested nor has seen someone as guilty as Mr Troughton.

JUDGE DUNSTABLE:
Would you like to examine the character witness Ms Tate.

HELEN TATE:
With pleasure, your honour. Now, Mr Tanner, you have accused my client and quote his kind for moving up here. What did you mean by that.

ALAN TANNER:
He's a cockney from Wimbledon. What is not to understand he's a Southerner, and he's attacking our northern way of life.

HELEN TATE:
It's funny that because your dad gave us some written information that's been submitted to the court and, believe it or not, you were born and raised in Camden in London, you're not northern either well not a truely naturally born northerner anyway.

ALAN TANNER:
He had sex with my daughter. She deserved better.

OLIVER TROUGHTON:
She consented, me and Maxine were drunk, and the year before, i lost my son. i wanted something to take my mind off it. i could have become a alcoholic or a druggie but i didn't, so yeah, Alan, she did deserve better, but she didn't say anything against what i did.

HELEN TATE:
No further questions, your honour.

JUDGE DUNSTABLE:
Let's stay on focus with the case at hand, not personal grievances. You may step down, Mr Tanner.
