Being a sightless girl, Haeun knew she had to be tough; otherwise, she wouldn't be able to survive in this world full of liars.

Once she had been betrayed by a boy, who taught her one of the biggest lessons of her life. After everything was over, the boy explained to Haeun that his betrayal was an act of awareness, so that Haeun could learn not to trust anyone easily; the way she trusted him, her kind nature could be used as a weapon against herself. Now, the boy's explanation was controversial, but the lesson Haeun had learned was priceless.

Haeun was thinking about all the harsh realities of this world when Aiden parked the car at the porch of Haeun's big mansion house.

'We are here,' Aiden declared as he opened his seat belt.

While Haeun opened the car's door by herself and grabbed her cane to unfold it.

Aiden got out of the car hurriedly to help Haeun, but Haeun liked the idea of 'self-dependence.' But she had to be dependent on others for certain works.

Haeun came out of the car by herself carefully, as Aiden closed the car door behind Haeun, 'Are you going to stay with me all the time?' Haeun asked.

'Certainly,' Aiden answered.

Listening to his answer, Haeun took a step ahead but Aiden interrupted her, 'You have to trust me if you want me to save you.'

Haeun stood there in silence. Aiden expected an answer. Suddenly, a middle-aged woman wearing a maid's gown came out of the house running with a big smile.

'Haeun, you're here finally,' the woman exclaimed. 'How are you, my daughter?' she added.

'I'm fine, how are you, Miss Suzy?' Haeun asked, taking a step towards Miss Suzy.

As Miss Suzy pulled Haeun into a tight hug, so did Haeun. Aiden understood that Haeun wasn't at all rude; maybe she had a soft spot too.

While hugging Haeun, Miss Suzy saw Aiden. She frowned when Aiden introduced himself, 'Hello, Miss Suzy, I'm Aiden, Miss Park's bodyguard.'

Miss Suzy broke the hug and trailed her eyes from up to down to measure Aiden's appearance. As she exclaimed, 'You're handsome, Aiden.'

'You don't seem to be a Korean,' Miss Suzy spoke after losing her control over her excitement.

As Aiden smiled, 'I'm an American.'

'I knew it,' Miss Suzy declared like any other aunties.

'Miss Suzy, you can talk with him later,' Haeun rasped.

Miss Suzy locked her curiosity inside her and escorted Haeun inside the house.Meanwhile, Aiden called someone.

Standing in the middle of the huge living room of her parents' mansion, she inhaled the air of the room, which reminded her of her parents' death.13 years ago, the air of this house had turned shabby for Haeun, the night her parents had been killed by some strangers.

That night, Haeun went to her room to practice braille. When she heard gunshot sounds from downstairs, her heart squeezed in fear. So she got down from her bed and walked up to her room door slowly.

As she heard some unfamiliar voices from the corridor along with heavy footsteps, her instinct said danger. She locked her room door carefully and hid inside her cupboard. She did all this so easily because it was her room, and she knew every corner of it.

Suddenly, someone knocked on her room door and shouted 'open the door.'

Haeun's heart trembled in fear. She felt like she couldn't breathe; the air inside the cupboard turned heavy slowly.

When the person outside the room banged on the door and shouted again, 'open the door,'

Haeun closed her eyes to pray to God for these strangers to leave. All of a sudden, Haeun heard a mobile ringtone, and the very next moment, everything went silent. A pin drop silence took over the room's atmosphere.

Opening the cupboard, Haeun slowly crawled out and stood in horror.

'Maybe he is gone,' little Haeun whispered to herself.

Even though she couldn't see, her heart never betrayed her; it was always right. There was no one outside.

When she gathered some courage and walked up to the door to open it. As soon as she opened the door, a bone-chilling air touched her uncovered skin. She shivered.

'Mom,' she called out. No one answered; instead, her voice echoed in that huge house.

'Dad,' the same thing happened again. No one answered.

As she slowly stepped out of her room and with the help of the walls, she reached the stairs. Then, holding the stair railing, she came down to call out for her parents, 'mom...dad.'

After that, as Haeun took a step forward, she stumbled on a lady's dead body and fell. When she fell on the body, she didn't know it was her mother's body. The body was cold, lifeless, Haeun assumed, as it wasn't moving at all.

When she ran her hands over her mother's face, hairs and arms. She halted, held her mother's wrist. There was a bracelet, it was familiar.

Suddenly, due to a touch on her shoulder, Haeun got startled and came out of her memories to see miss Suzy.

'Are you okay, Haeun?' asked miss Suzy. Haeun had no answer to this question so she nodded.

'Come with me, let's change your dress first,' miss Suzy led Haeun upstairs.

*****

Taemin was driving when the girl who was sitting on the passenger's seat complained, 'my tomorrow's flight has been canceled, that's why I thought of coming back a day earlier than a day later, and here you're nagging on me.'

The girl pouted folding her arms near her chest.

'I'm not nagging, Jiyoo, I was in the middle of a work,'Taemin explained.

Jiyoo didn't say anything instead she put on a poker face and stared out of the window. When Taemin signed.

'So what are your plans?'Taemin asked.

'I don't know, I am sure my father and my brothers won't let me take a job. As usual, they will talk about the dangers outside our house. And if I go out of our house for even a minute, those bodyguards of my father will follow me everywhere. This is what happens every time. I am not free to do anything. I know they love me but I want to live my life the way I want,' Jiyoo complained like a kid.

Taemin chuckled. She always complained like that, which Taemin enjoyed. Jiyoo looked funny whenever she talked about her family's imposing rules like a bullet train.

'They love you so much, Jiyoo,' Taemin declared.

'They're overprotective but I love them, they're my family,' Jiyoo confessed.

Before lunchtime, Taemin dropped Jiyoo at the porch of her house. He also helped her with her luggage. Then he got inside his car and started its engine.

When Jiyoo leaned on the passenger window's side, 'Aren't you coming inside?' she asked.

'Next time,' Taemin said and drove away.

Jiyoo pouted cutely. She wanted to spend some time with her childhood best friend. But she couldn't help. So shaking off her sadness, Jiyoo went inside the mansion with her luggage.
