CHAPTER 3

SCARLETT POV 

"Come in"

"Good morning, ma'am" my secretary greeted me.

"Good morning, what's my today's schedule?" For last few days my secretary has to do some of those works which are to be done by a PA, before that I always used to manage my own work but last few days, I am surrounded by work way too much.

But I am impressed by Clara, how she just managed everything without any complains. She surely deserves some raise. She has been working for me from the start and she has never disappointed me.  

"Yes ma'am, ma'am today you have a meeting at 9am with Mr. Thomas for our new project's investment and then at 11am with Mrs. Woods and at 2pm with Mr. & Mrs. Weasleys. That's it for today."

That's it??

"OK"

"But ma'am-" I looked up from my laptop to see her being a bit hesitant and a lot afraid.

"What happened?" I don't understand why she is always so scared in front of me it's not that I am going to eat her alive.

"Ma'am, actually Mrs. Woods... She actually again cancelled today's meeting." Listening this made me fucking angry. I banged my hand loudly in my desk and got up. Clara flinched seeing this and now was way more terrified.

And you don't know why she is so scared in front of you. Yeah.

"It's been 4th time, Clara fucking 4th time." I shouted not on her but on Mrs. Woods audacity.

"I-I know miss." Her voice merely audibly.

"Yes, I know that you know, but does she even want to have this meeting or not?" This Mrs. Woods she is just a year older than me. Last to last year she got married to Mr. Woods one of the richest and most successful businessman and he is so old that she can address him as her dad instead of husband. But yeah, money matter.

After a year, news came that he got dead in a car accident. Now, all his property is gone to Mrs. Woods and since then she acts like she is a God. Dammit.

I sighed and composed myself, and said in a calm tone cause the person in front of me is gonna faint any minute now if I kept on shouting.

"Clara, just cancel the meeting and tell her I am no longer interested any business with her." After all this meeting was more beneficial to her than me. I sat on my chair.

"Clara?"
"Yes ma'am" Now she is coming to her normal self.

"What about the PA post?"
"Yes ma'am. Ma'am that day only I made the job description and there were number of candidates applying for it. This Thursday, the interview will take place by HR team."

"Ok, so whoever gets selected ask them to prepare for interview with me on Friday only."

"Ok miss"

"You can go now" She nodded and went away.

And I started to prepare for the meeting with Mr. Thomas. It's a very important meeting, this project if given good investment will literally be a boom in IT sector. But I also know he is a very rude and arrogant person. I only hope it goes well.

I checked my watch and 10 minutes left for the meeting now. Soon after someone knocked.

"Come in" There was my secretory.

"Ma'am, the investors are there."
