Chapter 59 - Rachel's Confession

Rachel had been hiding something from Chloe, she knew it would cause Chloe to distance herself even more so she was determined to not say anything. All she could do was hope that Chloe never found out.

Chloe sat on the bed while Max was getting dressed. It was the weekend so Chloe had no idea why they were both up so early "answer me one question" Max looked at her and Chloe spoke again "why do we always wake up early on weekends?" Max shrugged "because we're not the type of people who lounge around in bed" Chloe rolled her eyes "right, because that would make sense".

Charlotte hadn't been herself since Taitlyn had said she hated her, she felt like she was a rubbish mother. Once she had made breakfast she went to sit in the living room. Tom saw that Charlotte wasn't eating so he went to see why "how come you're not eating?" Charlotte sighed "I'm not hungry" Tom came and sat with her "you need to eat" Charlotte rolled her eyes "I'll have something at lunch" Tom sighed and he went to finish his breakfast.

Aubree was playing in her room and Chloe was sorting Isla's bedroom out when she heard Aubree talking to someone so she went to see who she was talking to "who are you talking too?" Aubree looked up and giggled "my boyfriend" Chloe was shocked "who's that?" Aubree giggled again "Luke, he in my school" Chloe grinned "you're talking to him?" Aubree nodded "yes mummy" Chloe smiled at Aubree's enthusiasm "okay, we'll not tell daddy" Aubree grinned "thank you mummy". Chloe left Aubree's bedroom and she went to finish Isla's room.

Tom had just taken the kids out for a bit because he felt Charlotte needed a bit of a break. When they had gone Charlotte went for a hot bath. When she was done she went to relax on the sofa.

Chloe had been thinking about getting Isla and toddler bed as she was getting bigger. When she went downstairs she saw Aubree outside with her toy pushchair "who is she talking too?" Chloe grinned "can't say" Max frowned and turned Chloe to him "who is she talking too?" Chloe winked "I promised her I'd say nothing" Max nodded "I'll find out".

Rachel pulled up outside Chloe and Max's house, she needed to speak with Chloe about something. Rachel knew Chloe wouldn't be happy to see her but she felt she needed to be told. Knocking the door Rachel smiled when she heard Isla's little voice. Max answered and the annoyance was obvious on his face "what can I do for you?" Rachel sighed "I need to speak with Chloe" Max nodded and let her in "hi nanny" Rachel smiled at Aubree "hello love" Aubree went back outside.

Tom had made dinner and he called the kids in, and Charlotte came in with TJ "yay! lasagne!" Tom smiled at Taitlyn "you like this don't you?" Taitlyn giggled and nodded. Once dinner had been eaten Tom got the kids ready for bed.

Chloe came into the living room "what do you want?" Rachel sighed "Chloe, I need to talk too you" Chloe frowned "about what?" Rachel sadly smiled "it's something I kept hidden for 19 and a half years" Chloe frowned "this involves me?" Rachel nodded "yeah" Chloe nodded and Rachel took a deep breath "I've not been honest about something" Chloe rolled her eyes "tell me" Rachel took another deep breath "Simon isn't your father" Chloe was shocked "wh-who is then?" Rachel looked at her daughter "Michael" Chloe couldn't speak, she was in too much shock "Michael is my dad?" Rachel nodded Chloe didn't want to hear anymore "can you go? I need to think about this".

Tom had put the kids to bed and he went to sit with Charlotte "are you alright?" Charlotte turned to look at Tom and she nodded "I'm fine" Tom smiled and kissed her, Charlotte made the kiss turn passionate. Once the kiss began to get heated Charlotte climbed on top of Tom "do you wanna do this?" Charlotte nodded and she began taking off Tom's top, he did the same with her. Eventually it led onto something more.

Chloe couldn't believe what her mum had told her. Max took the girls to bed and Chloe sat on the sofa. When Max came down Chloe was crying "are you okay?" Chloe shook her head "no" Max came and sat with her "what's wrong?" Chloe sighed "my mum knew he wasn't my dad and yet he abused me. How could she have not told me?" Max sighed "she didn't want to upset you" Chloe scoffed "how well did that work out?" Max said nothing but he kissed her. The kiss began to get heated so Max moved Chloe so she was lying down. Eventually it led onto something more.

A few hours later Chloe and Max lay in bed "I think I needed that" Max smirked "yeah?" Chloe nodded "yeah, took my mind off everything" Max kissed her before they both fell asleep.
