Jiaxu and Ningyi sat at the back as Sang Yan started driving away from the airport and the trio talked among themselves as they reminisce about the past but Ningyi didn't bother joining the conversation and just looked outside the window, ignoring their talks as she admired the city of Nanwu.

She took out her phone and clicked some pictures then sent to her bestie. The city were no different than Yihe but something about the cities and the architecture used in Nanwu was making her feel different, maybe it was the feeling that was telling her that this place was new and she was like a foreign here despite it being in the same country.

As she was admiring, her mind unknowingly wandered back at the airport where the siblings asked about Ningyi.

"Jaixu, I knew you were bringing someone but I never expected it to be a girl. Your girlfriend?"

"Ah..No, she is my colleague from the company. Graphic illustrator, Lan Ningyi"

It was normal to be introduced like that but something about Ningyi didn't feel right with it. He did confess earlier while they were in the airport but that doesn't mean that they're together or a couple or whatever. Ningyi wanted to bang her head on the window so much but she had to control herself and not make a fool of herself.

Her gaze casually shifted to the rear-mirror view where Sang Zhi's face was reflected. She looked excited as she talked about her university and talking about the past when they first met Jiaxu and so on.

Every girls got their sixth sense and so did Ningyi. She could feel like the little girl has some crush on the older guy because from the way her eyes soften and her facial expressions ──── she was in love with him.

This is another reason why Ningyi hated herself for being too observant and good in reading someone's expression and feeling. But she couldn't hate the young girl after all, Jaixu got the looks and the charm that could make any girl swoon over him.

Ningyi tried to act calm and turn blind eye towards Sang Zhi and busied herself with some of the graphics sent to her by her staffs. As she was analysing the graphic, Jiaxu noticed her and slightly leaned in

"Are you gonna do that work now? Isn't Xinyu incharged for analysing those?"

The Lan girl was slightly surprised to hear Jiaxu's voice close to her ears "Ah? Oh. Meiyue-jie asked my help since she wasn't sure if it would work or not"

Jiaxu nodded his head and sat back at his seat as Sang Yan took a sneak peak to the girl "Miss Lan, how old are you? You look like our Sang Zhi's age"

Ningyi didn't expect Sang Yan to initiate a conversation but she said, "I am turning 24 this year"

It was then when Ningyi came to know that Sang Zhi was 22 and was graduating by the end of the year. The siblings had a good bond and the conversation carried on with Ningyi being invited for the conversation from time to time until they reached a place.

Ningyi was confused to see a house, rather than a hotel and there were two elders standing outside that resembled the two siblings earlier.
The two siblings got out of the car and she immediately turned to Jiaxu "Boss, are we not gonna stay at hotel?"

"No. Sang Yan's mother asked us to stay at their house and the conference area is just fifteen minutes away from here too. Come"

Ningyi wanted to complain and refute but the man was already out of the car and was engulfed in a hug by Sang Yan's parents as if he was their son. She had no other choice but to get out of the car. She took her suitcase from the trunk with the help of Sang Yan and approached her boss.

"Xiao-Yi this are Sang Yan's parents. Aunty Li Ping and Uncle Sang Rong"

She gave a formal bow with a smile "Hello Aunty Li and Uncle Sang, I am Lan Ningyi. I work for Boss Duan as a graphic editor"

Li Ping really had good skin and she looked so young that if Jiaxu didn't introduce her, Ningyi would mistake her as Sang Yan's eldest sister.

Li Ping smiled and nodded her head "Welcome to Nanwu, Ningyi. Let's head in, you must have been tired from the long flight"

Ningyi was indeed feeling jetlag and couldn't wait to sleep on a comfortable bed. She quietly followed everyone and was shown the guest room where she would be staying for a week. It was beside Jiaxu's and they were soon left alone by the family who excused themselves for preparing dinner.

Ningyi unpacked her things and kept all the necessities on the dressing table and some in the bathroom before grabbing a pair of comfortable clothes and took a quick shower. During the shower, her mind didn't feel settled for some reason which she didn't understand why.

With her thoughts being jumbled, she came out of the room and sat in front of the dressing table and started drying her hair with the hair dryer on low heat. After few minutes, there was a small knock on the door

"Ningyi-jie, it's me Sang Zhi"

Ningyi-jie?

The way Sang Zhi called her 'sister' felt weird but it was not that bad. She went and opened the door to see Sang Zhi in a cute girly pajamas that made her look more younger than her actual age with a small bowl of strawberry "Jie, mama asked me to bring this to you. Eat this and take rest. I'll come and call you when it's dinner time"

Ningyi found her cute and nodded, accepting the bowl of fruits "Thank You so much. I have to trouble you for today Sang Zhi since I am feeling a little jetlag today"

Sang Zhi nodded and left the floor as Ningyi closed the door and went to the bed with the bowl of fruits.

"She's cute. No wonder Sang Yan and Jiaxu adores her so much"

As she ate the fruits, her mind drifted towards two siblings who cared and loved each other so much. Though Sang Yan teased his little sister, she could see how much he loves and adore his sister. It somehow reminded her of the time when she found herself growing up in the orphanage before she even realized

Will there be a chance of me having a younger brother? Did my parents give birth to a boy?
