Virginia smoothed a wrinkle from her gray pencil skirt before stepping inside Hammer Industries headquarters. She had made a call to Leevy the day after the gala to request a verified resume to be made for Sally Parridge, detailing past work history. The next day, she called Justin Hammer to confirm her interest in the job. They had met two days later for an interview and now, the following Monday, Sally was walking into her first day of work!

When she had visited to conduct the interview, Hammer had shown her where she would be working, so Virginia was able to navigate her way to the correct floor on her own. Her secretary position involved doing work for several executives, including the occasional thing for Hammer himself. It was a bit intimidating given that Virginia had never worked any kind of secretary position before, but she had read numerous articles about the job over the past few days and was hoping she could quickly pick up on anything they didn't cover.

She put her bag on the desk, which was a semi-circle in shape and placed in the corner of the short corridor that housed the doors to executive offices. Hammer's was at the far end of it. She couldn't have asked for a better location. Virginia eyed the door to his office as she rummaged through the desk, familiarizing herself with the space and items in it. Her ultimate goal was to sneak her way in there and gather evidence about what exactly he was up to from the source.

It would take time, though. She had to build credibility in the office before she started poking her nose places it didn't belong. She would have to be content with simply making observations these first few weeks.
