There are many alternate universes. I have a few like Universe 1700, a universe I created, a universe where a bunch of random fictional characters live on the same planet. Then I got another alternate universe Universe 1701 which is basically the same thing as Universe 1700 except the fictional characters in that world are actually allowed to know I exist and interact with me. We all get along fairly decently, except for the bad guys who are blasphemous against me because they hate how I wrote their life stories. Just one of the downsides to being an alternate universe god.
Of course good or evil I would do anything to protect the characters in this universe however this one day that I awoke in the universe I created I would be starting a war with someone who wanted to take over all of the alternate universes I created. Now before I go on I need to say that this is an alternate universe where RWBY characters exist, so yeah Salem is in this world.

But she wouldn't be as an intruder would be arriving at her layer. As the intruder who I only know as the chaos queen would be taking her place.

CHAOS QUEEN: Why I'm your replacement dear salem. Unless you want me to force you I wish for you to step down as ruler of the grimm so that I may take over.
SALEM: No one comes to my layer and says stuff like that and EVER leaves alive.
Tried as she might Salem could not beat the new enemy so she lost the fight and was sent to another dimension. Salem may have been sent to another world but now the world faced a new threat and she was gonna be a lot tougher to beat than the last queen of evil. I was just out using my magic to create yet another gargoyle for my front yard when all of a sudden Blake Belladonna the cat faunus came running to my rocky yard.
