"Does anybody know the answer?" Mrs. Feraro asked, gazing around at the students.
Her stare slowed as she got to my side of the room, until our eyes locked as she gave me the 'Please, no one else is going to answer' look.
My hand slowly rised as I got my name called.
"Katherine!" Mrs. Feraro beamed.
"134." I answered, uneasily.
"Correct!" Mrs. Feraro smile, finishing the equation on the board.
"Nerd." The group of guys behind me laughed.
Before I knew it the bell had rang and I was making my way towards my locker to grab my bag.
"Katherine!" I heard a male voice yell.
Assuming there was another Katherine somewhere, I didnt stop moving until a hand grabbed my elbow, making me stop uncomfortably.
"Didn't you hear me yell your name?" The boy asked confused.
I took in his features, with his brown hair slicked back into a quiff and his lips bright red, he had beautiful brown eyes, he must've been a football player.
"What." I questioned, the word coming out more harsh than meant.
"I was just offering, tomorrow one of my friends is throwing a party, you should go, maybe you could find some friends there." He smiled.
I wasn't sure whether I should be happy that I was invited to a party or mad that he had the guts to tell me I have no friends to my face.
Either way I gave him a slight smile before turning around and making my way so I could leave this hell hole.
As I got outside I plugged in my headphones making my way down the road which led to my house.
When I did get home, I threw my back pack to the side, taking a huff laying on the couch.
"Hey babes how was your day?" My older sister asked, coming into the room with a bowl of frosted flakes.
"I got invited to a party." I mumbled through the pillow my face was stuffed in.
"Oh my god! Yes! I need to help you get ready!" She cheered, jumping up and down on the couch.
"Okay okay, but you know the rule-"
"No sparkles, no shine, ya ya I got you." She grunted, which turned into a smile.
"Agh! This is amazing I cant wait!" She laughed.
