There is non-stop chatter about this 'end of exam' party at Oakcross University which is taking place tomorrow night. Everywhere you go whether it be outside or in a building, there's always someone yapping about how excited they are, what they're going to wear, how they're going to do their makeup, hair and so on. It's inescapable!
"Thanks, Hailey, you're officially a nightmare!" Alex laughs to himself proceeding to slide out of bed and get ready to go to his first class of the day.
Alex has been friends with Hailey ever since he started attending the University, roughly about a year and a half to be specific. She is a lovely girl, very energetic, outgoing, confident and sometimes can be chaotic but pretty much everyone absolutely loves her no matter what. For the party, Hailey had organised it to be hosted at a massive mansion perfect for the outrageous amount of people she sent invitations to with overexcitement.
*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK* Alex gets startled by the sudden bashing on the door.
"AY ALEX. YOU AWAKE? OPEN UP!" The person shrieks trying to get his attention.
Alex smiles at the familiar voice and walks over to the door to answer. "Gosh, Emily. Why are you yelling down the entire place at 7:30 am? The whole University can hear you."
"I guess their alarms aren't needed anymore." Emily shrugs. "Anyways, can we talk about this party on the way to class today? I need help on what to wear."
Alex laughs. "Yeah no problem, Em. I'll just get my bag and we can be on our way."
"Aight," Emily responds and waits holding the dorm door open. "So I picked out four different outfits last night, now I just need people's votes. I'll bring you and Jonah over to my dorm room later and y'all decide."
"I'm assuming Jo is probably going to need help on what to wear as well," Alex states. "If one of us sees her today, tell her to bring her outfits if she hasn't already decided."
"I'll send her a text now just so I don't forget later," Emily says as she grabs her phone out of her pocket and starts typing.
Both Emily and Alex walk out of the dorm and lock the door making their way down the hallway leading to the elevators. They get down to the ground floor and push open one of the double glass doors walking outside. Within about 5 minutes, not far away from the dorms between the athletics gym located on the left and the football field on the right, Alex and Emily spot a trio of football students in the distance approaching them.
"Ay, is that your girlfriend?" One of the boys shouts and starts picking on them.
"Uhh, no. This is my best friend." Alex responds with a glare hoping that the conversation doesn't go any further and continues walking. As they're about to pass the group, the boy responds in hopes of a reaction.
"Such a liar... Or you're a fucking faggot." He laughs loudly.
"I'm sorry... WHAT?" Alex snaps as he turns around swiftly to look at them with a glare expressed his face. It worked. The boy managed to get his attention.
"Alex it's not worth it, let's go," Emily says as she grabs his arm in hopes that he doesn't start charging at the football players. Alex unfortunately disregards Emily's words.
"OOOOOHHh!! Scaryyy I'm sooo scared!!!" The boy says sarcastically.
Alex is fuming but takes a deep breath to keep himself calm from wanting to completely annihilate this guy. "You should be."
