Few hours before INTERROGATION

DOOR KNOCK

Jake, hobbling on one leg, moved cautiously toward the door. As he opened it, he was greeted by a familiar face. "Hey, buddy!" Henry said with a wide grin.

Jake, with a slightly sarcastic tone, responded, "Well, well, someone finally got time to check up on their friend."

Henry raised an eyebrow and shot back playfully, "Not even gonna ask me in?"

Jake sighed, "C'mon in," and motioned toward the couch.

Henry settled into the sofa, glancing around the room, then asked with genuine concern, "What's going on, man? Why aren't Charlie or Emily picking up my calls? And... what happened to your leg?"

Jake looked at him, stunned. "Are you serious? Nobody told you anything?"

Henry shook his head, confused. "Told me what? I've been out for vacation before the graduation party. Spill it."

Jake hesitated for a moment, the weight of everything that had happened clearly visible in his expression. He sighed heavily, knowing that the next few minutes were going to be intense. "It's a long story, Henry... and it's not a good one."

Jake's voice trembled as he explained everything, trying to make sense of the chaos that had unraveled over the past few days. "It started with that creepy message. We all got it—thirty days to live. At first, no one took it seriously, but then Charlie... he died during a fight with Ryan. It was an accident, but it felt like something more. Then, Xavier was next, and honestly, I don't even know what happened. It was at the party. Then Emily... God, Emily died when the party house blew up."

Jake paused, his breath shaky. "Before Emily's death she disappeared which lured us Ryan Officer Lucy and myself  and  thought we could figure things out, so we went to the warehouse colony. But the bombs... the bombs went off and killed a team of police officers. The entire building blasted to pieces. We barely survived—injured, sure—but we were lucky. Then... it got worse. Someone tried to kill Officer Lucy, our lead investigator."

Jake looked Henry in the eye, his expression a mix of fear and disbelief. "Even though Ryan was injured, he fought the guy off and saved Lucy. He... he saved her life, Henry."

The enormity of the situation hit Henry like a ton of bricks. He was stunned, his eyes wide with disbelief. "You're telling me... that this much happened none of you could told me a thing?" Henry asked, his voice filled with rage.

Jake nodded, his face pale. "I'm sorry, man. But even I had no idea what to say to you. But it feels like we're running out of time, and this time things gone way more shittier than ever"

Henry furrowed his brow and asked, Henry asked, "Where's Alison and Jacob?" Jake replied, "They went to college with Daniel." As soon as the words left his mouth, Henry's phone rang. It was Jacob.

Henry's heart pounded as he heard Jacob's voice on the phone. The urgency in Jacob's tone sent a wave of dread through him.

"Henry, we need you here, man!" Jacob gasped, his breath heavy and uneven, as if he were running.

Henry's mind raced. "What's going on? What happened?"

Jacob's voice was frantic. "Daniel got this message—some text saying How is his girl?. He's freaking out and running straight down the middle of the road like a madman. I've been chasing after him, but he's not listening. You gotta do something, Henry, before he gets himself killed!"
