⚠️Triggered warning ⚠️
Hi guys,
I thought it's finally time to give you all a little introduction about myself. I go by the username Ellie...but, I'm not actually Ellie.
To understand, you'll have to go back with me to 2021, when the pandemic was still going on...you know, the Corona virus. That's when Ellie, my childhood best friend—the best thing that ever happened to me—left this world.
Ellie was my everything. Now that she's among the stars, I'm still holding on to our friendship, just like we promised each other that we would be friends forever. Even though we're far apart, with the distance of heaven and earth between us, I keep her memory alive every day.
Ellie loved writing fanfictions. She even had a small youtube channel where she'd post her stories, and though she couldn't continue it beyond two or three videos, they still exist. I still have the link. She also wrote on Wattpad, but I never paid much attention to her account names back then because I wasn't really into reading fanfictions, or even books for that matter. I regret not checking her stories more often.
During the pandemic, Ellie was diagnosed with the virus and admitted to the hospital. For a month, she fought for her life, before finally saying goodbye to this world. I still remember the shock when I found out...that my little bestie was no longer here. We used to see each other every day, have sleepovers, and just be inseparable. But now, the one person I want to see the most is the hardest to reach. I miss her every day.
Those days after her passing were some of the hardest of my life. I stayed up all night, trying to compose myself because, as you might know, it's never easy to recover from losing a loved one.
In those moments of darkness, I realized just how much Ellie loved writing. So, I logged into her fan account on Instagram, the one she'd made for her stories. It broke me all over again. She was such a bright girl, with so many dreams and wishes. She didn't deserve to leave this world so soon... She was only 13 when she went to the heavens.
After that, it took me over two years to practice writing, reading tons of books, learning, and growing. And now, I've finally started writing a fanfiction, using Ellie's name. I don't know where this sudden surge of creativity and writing talent came from—maybe it's Ellie helping me, guiding me—but I just want to fulfill her dream of writing a book. That's all I want.
I don't want to reveal my own name because this spotlight isn't for me. It's for Ellie. I hope she's in a better place now, watching over me and smiling.
R.i.p Ellie
