The Lotus' hoverbike came to a shuddering halt, causing a cloud of black sand. She looked up, and gazed across the dune of blackened ash.

She could see a gazebo in the distance, made of copper with a circular roof, standing the middle of the abyss, underneath a sky of absolute nothingness. Leading from the Gazebo, there was a queue of silhouette figures in a line going further then she could see.

She turned around to the rear of her floating bike, to a pair of leather saddlebags on the back. They were placed just behind the seat, covering years' worth of scratches, scorch marks, dirt, rust and powder burns.

She reached into the right bag and pulled out a small pouch. She opened the pouch, revealing the earpiece she had taken from The Doctor. It was still shining, and glowing with light.

She looked at it a moment, sealed the pouch and put it back on her saddlebag. She pulled the saddlebags off her hover bike and put them over her shoulder. She then turned a dial on a small control panel on the body of the bike just in front of the seat.

The bike coughed out more jet black sand, the engine shuddered to a halt. The hovercraft slowly lowered to the ground with a gentle pat.

Lotus climbed down from her vehicle and walked from her bike, leaving a trail of heeled marks in the black sand from her shoes that glowed with a purple and blue. The two colors on her shoes fought for control over each other in the black Psychedelic sunlight, twirling and spinning constantly.

She approached the gazebo, passing those just like her, carrying pouches, saddlebags, backpacks, crates, lugging them across the black sand. She approached the back of the queue of silhouettes, hardly making out faces in the darkness. She looked up, and could see it led towards a small opening a hatch placed in the middle.

She bounded up and down, breathing and panting. She looked past at the queue, and watched it move very, very slowly.

"Comeoncomeoncomeoncomeon."

Just above the hatch, was a small sign, glowing bright yellow, with the words:

SRCAP-O-MATIC! GET FOOD FOR PARTS!"

- Brought to you by the Scavenger's Union.

The queue went down only too slowly, and Lotus's stomach began to rumble. She bounced up and down with hunger, her hands balled into fists.

As she got closer, she could see the figure standing behind the hatch inside the gazebo. It was the shape of a familiar gentleman, with burgundy, curly hair, so long, it almost covered his shining black eyes, which had no iris or pupils.

His stubbly face shined in the light of the sign above him. He was wearing a silver, shiny, gleaming, sparkling metal chase plate, this time with no leather jacket. His goat like legs, hooves and kilt were covered by the bottom of the gazebo's hatch.

It soon very nearly became Lotus' turn. A small, tiny, skinny young boys, wearing ripped, dirty, dusty and sand-stained rags stood in front of her. He had clump of his dirty, unwashed brown hair, and was as nearly as tall as a Zocci. He had tiny eyes with green pupils, with shoes that were held together by make do rope, looking like they about to fall apart with each step he took.

He held a small, shiny, thumb sized metal piece in his hand, gleaming with intricate blue designs and details. Lotus stared at the metal piece sitting in the young boy's hand a moment. She had no idea what it was, but it looked valuable.

The boy walked forward, as it was his turn. He went on his tip toes to reach the hatch in the copper gazebo, only just reaching it with the top.

He looked up to a pair of cold, blackened eyes, the smile from the friendly bartender was nowhere to be found.
