Upon arriving at the hotel, Mae and Anya headed straight to the reception desk.

"Hello, Gigi!" they chimed in unison, both wearing matching grins.

"Ah, hello, girls! How are you?" Gigi responded with her usual warmth.

"Not too bad, thanks. Did Dad mention if we've got anything planned for today?" Mae asked, curious about their schedule.

"Oh yes," Gigi nodded, flicking through a few notes. "Your father mentioned that you'll be looking after the children from one o'clock until four. A few activities are lined up for you to run."

Mae sighed softly. "Of course. Thanks for letting us know."

"Oh, and before I forget, your breakfast is ready in the dining area."

"Cheers, Gigi," Mae said, heading with Anya towards the buffet area.

They helped themselves to a hearty spread and found a quiet corner to sit and eat. As they dug into their breakfast, they began chatting about everything under the sun—school, friends, and the upcoming ski trips. Time seemed to fly by as they finished up their meal.

Just before one o'clock, the girls made their way to the game room where the children were gathered.

"Hello, everyone," Mae called out, as they entered the room.

"Hi!" the children responded, their voices a chaotic chorus of excitement.

"How are you lot doing?" Anya asked with a smile.

"Good!" came the collective shout.

"This is your first day here, isn't it?" Mae asked, scanning the room.

The children nodded enthusiastically.

"Right, let's start by introducing ourselves," Mae said, taking a seat. "I'm Mae, and this is Anya."

Anya waved, giving a quick smile.

"Now, it's your turn! Let's go around the room and hear your names."

One by one, the children began their introductions:

"I'm Claire, I'm eight, and I live in France."

"I'm Daelo, I'm nine, and I'm from the United States."

The introductions continued, each child offering a bit about themselves. After everyone had spoken, Mae and Anya started the first activity of the day—drawing what the children loved most.

"Check this out, Mae," Daelo said, showing her his drawing.

Mae peered at the sketch and smiled. "You play baseball?"

"Yeah! D'you think it's good?"

"It's brilliant!" Mae said, nodding approvingly. "Maybe add a bit more colour to it?"

"Okay!" Daelo exclaimed, rushing back to his seat.

As Mae watched the children, a figure caught her eye—a tall, handsome brunette had just walked into the room. There was something effortlessly charming about him.

"Er, hi," the guy said, making his way over to Mae. "Are you in charge of this activity?"

"Yeah, that's right," Mae replied, feeling slightly flustered by his good looks. "I'm Mae, by the way."

"Nice to meet you. I just wanted to check when the skiing and snowboarding start."

"We'll begin around three-fifteen, maybe half-past three, once the kids have got their gear on."

"Great, thanks. I just needed to get that sorted."

"No worries at all... So, are you here with one of the kids?"
