Dear Ced,
It's been three weeks since my last letter, and things have only grown more complicated. Hufflepuff lost the match to Ravenclaw today. Cho snagged the Snitch right from under Summerby's nose. It was close—he almost had it. I can't help but think that if I'd managed a few more goals, we might've turned things around. The final score was 170-240, if you can believe it. And here's the real shocker—Smith outscored me. Yes, Zacharias Smith. Still can't quite wrap my head around that.
I'm trying to stay positive, but it's hard without you here. You always knew how to make even a loss feel like a win. I miss that. I miss you.
Things have been ..more difficult lately. The others have started avoiding me since they learned about my situation with Umbridge. It's like they're keeping their distance, and I feel like an outsider now. Their silence is almost as heavy as the burden of keeping up this pretense. I wish you could offer some of your wisdom, or even just lend an ear. It's tough navigating this alone, and your absence feels like a void that nothing else can fill.
