"Mom, I want that cotton candy".

Kiyara said it by pointing towards the cotton candy stall.

"No.., it's bad for your health, you know that",her mother said.

Her father goes to the stall and buys her a cotton candy. He handed her the cotton candy stick and looked at her mother.

"It cannot harm you at once right ?"

Her mom stared at her father with frowning eyebrows.

"you just keep on spoiling her".

He was about to say something when Kiyara started running towards a shooting game stall.

"Kiyara don't run".

Her mother shouted and and both ran after her. She stoped and stood in front of the stall, staring at the gun.

"Dad...., I want to play this game".

"Alright".

One boy at the stall handed her the loaded gun. She balanced it on her shoulders, looked into the scope as if she is a professional, she aimed and fired.

"That was very loud, it was like a real gun".

Suddenly people started screaming and running here and there.

"I..I...It was actually a....a real gun".

Her father stammered. Terrorist started firing blindly on the crowd. Kiyara's mother took her in her arms and they hid inside the stall. Her parents were scared. Kiyara was also scared and confused as well. She was not mature enough to understand what was going on there.

Terrorist were coming closer to them. Their heartbeats grew faster. They could hear footsteps. Slowly, sound of footsteps was getting louder. Her mother was holding Kiyara tightly and was breathing heavily. Her father put his finger on his lips to tell both of them to be quite.
Suddenly, sound of footsteps stoped. Her parents had a doubt whether they had left or not. They tried to peek but could not see anyone. Suddenly a terrorist came forward and started firing.

"Run Kiara! get out of here"

They both got shot by the terrorist. Kiyara screamed and started running. Terrorist was about to shoot her when a man pulled her and covered her mouth. She was breathing fast. There was another girl beside her staring at her with tears in her eyes. She was his daughter.

Before the terrorist could find them, they moved away from the place.

An hour passed and there were only a few survivors. The huge crowded carnival, became deserted in an hour. There were dead bodies and blood all around. Terrorist had left already. The man came out and made sure that everything's safe. Then he called both the girls. Kiyara looked around.

"Where's my dad ? And mom ?"

"They will never come back, little girl".
She started crying and hugged that man.

"Don't worry, I'm with you. Tell me your name little girl".
She wiped her tears and looked at him.

"Kiyara".

" That's a very good name."

He looked at her daughter.

"She is my daughter, Thea. You both will become good friends. Come on! Let's go home."

The man was a wealthy person, who lived with her wife and daughter. He was very kind hearted. But his wife was a orthodox kind of person. That man felt sympathy for Kiyara and took her home. But his wife  didn't feel the same.
