Vows of Vermilion, A tale of Saanjh and Aarka

'locked out locked in'

Saanjh in her mind,

"Kch v bolte hain Aarka bhi, anyways jo v hai eventually mujhe pta chal hi jayega..."

With all the nagging and teasing they were getting closer day by day.

One night Saanjh was in her deep sleep, she felt gentle finger traces on her stomach, She gasped and turned around, just to found Aarka admiring her with a very passionate look.

Saanjh for a moment was lost in his eyes.

Aarka waved his hand, Saanjh raised her eyebrow asking,"what is it?"

Aarka went closer, putting her hair stands back whispered into her ear,"sorry aapko jaga dia, wo main puch rha tha night walk par chalengi mere saath."

Saanjh was stunned as she always wanted to go on a walk late night on the empty streets and breathe the air under the stars could never.
She never got the time and it was of course not the safest idea for someone to walk around alone at night.

Saanjh asked,"Aarka lekin itni raat hogyi hai?aap sure ho? Achnk kya hogya aapko."

Aarka replied,"Actually mere bucket list mein tha ki main apni wife k saath atleast ek night walk par toh jarur jaun, so kya khayal hai?"

Saanjh's eyes literally glowed with excitement.

Aarka got up from the bed and started walking towards the door saying,"haan ya fir naa soch lo,ice cream bhi khilaunga....warna main to chala."

Saanjh's eyes widened and she rushed following him out of their room.

While walking on the road Aarka praised,"waise aap saree mein aur v khoobsurat lagti hain,lekin mere baare v soch lia karein,meri toh neend hi udd jaati hai"

Saanjh questioned," aapko mere saree pehnne se dikkat hai? oh! to aapki neend udd gyi islie hum walk par jaa rhe hain"

Aarka,"arey aap to mujhe galat samajh rhi hain laadly ji! Mujhe koi taklif nhi aapke saree pehnne se bss aap pareshani m aa jayengi mere wajah se." And smirked

Saanjh," nhi aise saree main pehnti nhi thi pehle, lekin mere profession mein mandatory hai....dheere dheere aadat pad gyi and ab main comfortable hun saree mein."

Aarka murmured to himself "it's good that you are the assistant professor of a women's centric university, ladke to ghayal hi ho jaate, meri musibat badh jaati"

Saanjh asked,"kya? kch kaha aapne sunai nhi dia."

Aarka nervously," ummhmm nhi toh, waise haan ye keh rha tha aapki ice-cream"

Saanjh surprisingly,"mujhe lga aap mazaak kar rhe the, fridge mein jo last rakhi thi,wahi lekr aaye na." And smiled.

Aarka,"haan,wahi waali hai"

They were walking and talking about how life has been before and how it is now
Both sharing that one ice cream

Saanjh,"waise Aarka mujhe na life mein ek baar to night walk par aana hi tha...thanks aapke wajah se wo v pura hogya."

Aarka in his mind,"kitne papad belein hai ye wishes ka pata lgane aur pure karne k lie,lekin it's all worth is, iss khusi k lie I can go to any extent"

Saanjh," Aarka aap sun rhe ho na?"

Aarka,"haa bilkul, wo main bss soch rha tha ghr se nikal to aaye lekin andar jaana thoda muskil hai, but don't worry main sambhal lunga."

Saanjh,"kya matlab?"

Aarka reluctantly said wo ghar par kisi ko pta nhi hai that we are out at this hour and aate waqt galti se mujhse door lock hogya.

Saanjh,"kya? Ab hum ghar k andar kaise jayenge Aarka!"

Aarka chuckled knowing his mistake," main karta hun kch, aap icecream khao"
He in his mind mummy ko call Kia toh wo mujhe ghar se nikal dengi. Ghar jaana is not safe aur na hi ghar k bahar is safe"

With this he called his friend Arnav

Arnav on call mocked him saying" pyaar mein aandhe, kch v krte ho yaar tum v, ruk main aata hu pick krne mere ghr reh jaao dono aaj."

Aarka denied saying"by the time u reach to pick us it would be already 2:30-3:00 in the morning."

Arnav suggested," then bro do one thing check room nearby, isse kya hoga subha jldi check out krk nikal jaoge and subha aunty ko bol paoge ki morning walk par gye the"

Aarka following his suggestion booked a nearby hotel room, they both went to spend the night there.

At the hotel lobby, while booking the room, the receptionist asked to fill in the details and asked for I'd

Aarka trying to explain the situation said, "we don't have any ID right now, we are a newly wedded couple, main apni wife ko walk par lekr nikla tha aur locked out hogye dono."

"Not a big deal sir, we can verify the ID from the website."

Aarka got relieved and gave the details.
Both of their identity got verified except for the relationship status.

The receptionist said, "sir your ID states you both are unmarried."

Before Aarka could say anything

Saanjh intervened saying," we got married recently, it's been some days and update nhi hua hai, Actually we are a part of joint family and we couldn't give much time to each other....so we decided to go for a walk at night hope that explains the situation well."
"Now if it's all done will you please help us with the room or we can help ourselves looking for somewhere else"

Aarka for a moment was speechless thinking, "Whoaa superb! Lady to lady talk"

Everything got finalized, Saanjh was sitting at the lobby.  The receptionist called Aarka and said "sir, we do have a honeymoon suit available, would you like to have that room"

Aarka in no time,"that's good to go! Plz Confirm it!"

With that both of them were escorted to their respective room.
