I walked into AA unsure what I'd experience. I wasn't an alcoholic, but my fiance was. He admits he is one, but won't do anything about it. I thought if I went to AA, I could know better how to convince him to go, or at least do something to try and quit. He's convinced he can Drink without an issue and that he
knows how to stop, but he's shown time and time again that he doesn't.

I walk in a little late and sit in the back. There were people standing up and sharing their stories. A guy about 6'2" walks up. He turns around and his face automatically looks familiar. My first thought was Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides, my second thought was my friend Tyler I went to highschool with. Tyler looked like Andy, but he had red- brown hair, no piercings and no tattoos. The man was wearing skinny jeans and a leather jacket, so I could only just barely see his tattoos sticking out.

"Hi everyone," his booming voice says in the quiet room. "My name's Tyler, and I don't know if I'm an alcoholic. I'm here because my wife thinks I am one. She threatened to leave me if I didn't do something about it."

"Hi Tyler." The room speaks back. The man looks around the room as if looking for someone, and we make eye contact. I could tell that he could tell that I somehow knew him.

"I'm only in town for the night," The man continues. "So you won't see me again. My wife and I are on a cross country trip with some friends. I got a little drunk last night and woke up naked on a hotel room floor. It was my friend's room, not my wife's. Jay-- I mean my friend, was also passed out naked, in the bathroom tub."

"I remember those nights," a guy in the front row piped up. Everyone chuckles.

"Don't we all?" Someone else responds.

The guy standing in the front sheepishly smirks, shakes his head, and sits back down. A couple more people go up and share, including a girl about 18. She was freshly homeless after her foster parents kicked her out after they found her drunk, once again. It was her rock bottom. After her share, a couple other people shared their own rock bottom stories to help comfort the girl. Then we stopped sharing to eat the donuts in the back and head out.

I stand up and walk up to the tall guy that looked familiar to me. "Tyler? When did you dye your hair and get a bunch of tattoos? Are you traveling back to see your mom? It's been forever!"

He looked at me confused, as if he had no clue what I was talking about. That's when I knew it was just a coincidence that he said his name was Tyler. That it was Andy like I had thought originally. Someone walks up to Andy and I use that as my chance to sneak away.

The air outside was crisp and the sky was cloudy. I had walked to AA, so I had to walk home. It was a Friday morning meeting. Black Veil Brides was playing that evening at the Agora, which was why Andy was in town. I had a general admissions ticket for the show. My fiance was working, so I was going by myself. I only lived a couple blocks from the church that was holding AA.

"Miss!" I heard Andy's booming voice shout after me. I smirk and shake my head as I continue to walk. I was wearing my Black Veil Brides denim jacket. I could hear Andy running up behind me. His long legs made it very easy for him to catch up to me. He grabbed my shoulder and swung me around. I just glared at him.

"I have to get home, I'm going to a concert tonight, I have to get ready." I growl at him.

"Please don't tell anyone. I'll do anything, you can come hang out with us after the show, I'll get you backstage!" He pleaded.

"That sounds like an amazing time, but it's AA. It's supposed to be anonymous. I'm not a douchebag. I'm not gonna out you. You're not doing a good job at AA tho, honesty is like the number one rule." I snap back.
