Sunflower

Sunflower blooming from afar
Illuminated by the scattered stars.
Dancing gently as kissed by the moonlight
With a beauty captivating this solemn night

I watched a flower bloom
A beauty, a love i cannot own.
Grow in a garden that's never mine. 
A place where there's always a borderline.

Standing from afar
I tried to reach her heart
An attempt to touch the beauty
Of a flower destined not for me.

As the bright moon falls
Brokenness started to crawl.
Cannot i pick a flower i admire?
Why can't I love a girl whom i desire?

Silent night continues to unfold
Yet overshadowed by this love untold.
Longing started to flow
Hitting me as if it was a big blow.

I watched my sunflower bloom
In garden as my heart sank in gloom.
My sunflower, the subject of my desires
Is only a flower that'll never heed my cries.
A love i can only dream from afar,
My distant wish like a far fading star.

In silence, alone, i ponder
This dark love left me in wonder.
How i loved a flower not meant for me
How i hurt myself for wishing a love not destined to be.

Nothing but a dust that chose to admire
A flower like you will all of my heart
But meant to love you only from afar.
My sunflower, why'd you have to left me with all deep scars?
