A cute young man walked down the busy city streets, his footsteps matching the noise of the bustling city around him. His phone buzzed in his pocket, and he checked the screen, seeing a new message from his father.
With a quick swipe, he typed back.
Dad: Hey son, where are you?
Jk: I'm at xxxxx Street. Is everything okay?
Dad: Yes, everything is fine. Just come home.
Jk: Oh, okay, Dad.
Jungkook frowned in confusion. As far as he knew, no special guests were expected at the mansion today. He couldn't figure out why his father was so urgent.
Maybe it was just his dad's business partners coming over, Jungkook thought. He shrugged off his curiosity and kept walking toward the family mansion.
When he arrived, the guards greeted him with respectful bows. Jungkook smiled warmly and nodded in return as he stepped inside. The grand foyer was buzzing with activity maids rushing around, preparing for something important.
His eyes quickly landed on his older brother, Yoongi, who was sitting on the staircase, giving orders to the butler.
Jungkook walked over, frustration clear on his face. "Yoonie Hyung, what's going on? Why does it look like everyone's in a panic? Is the guest someone important?"
Yoongi's face remained serious. "Yes, someone important is coming. And thank goodness you're here early. Go change into something suitable."
Jungkook's curiosity grew. "Who's coming? Can you at least tell me?"
Yoongi rolled his eyes. "Fine, it's the Kims. They're here to discuss your engagement to their youngest son, Kim Taehyung."
Jungkook's eyes went wide with surprise. "Wait, what?!"
"Yah, stop shouting and just go get ready," Yoongi said sharply, clearly irritated. "Hurry up!"
"Fine, I'm going," Jungkook replied, backing away with a light chuckle, amused by his brother's frustration.
He went to his room, where he found a tailored outfit carefully laid out on his bed. After a quick bath, he wrapped himself in a bathrobe and got dressed, making sure to apply a little chapstick and add a few accessories.
As he looked at himself in the mirror, a strange mix of excitement and nervousness washed over him.
Just as he was deep in thought, a knock on the door interrupted him. He opened it to find Yoongi standing there, his face flushed with irritation. "YAH JEON FUCKING JUNGKOOK, HOW DARE YOU MESS UP MY FILES!"
"HYUNG, I'M SORRY, BUT YOU DESERVED IT!" Jungkook shot back.
"YOU BRAT!" Yoongi's anger was obvious as he grabbed a nearby pillow and hurled it at Jungkook. Jungkook dodged it with ease, his reflexes sharp. In retaliation, he grabbed his own pillow and tossed it right back at his brother.
Soon, the pillow fight turned into total chaos, with both brothers laughing and rolling around, completely a mess. Jungkook darted out of the room, Yoongi right behind him, still shouting.
Downstairs, the Kims were sitting comfortably on the couch, chatting with the Jeons. The two families had been close for years, both in business and personally. Everything seemed relaxed, but it was obvious that today's visit was more important than usual.
