Jennie shut the hotel room door behind her with a soft click, feeling a storm of emotions hit her all at once.

She plopped down on the comfy hotel bed, bouncing a little, but her heart felt like it was weighing her down.

What was up with Taehyung? Had she totally misread the vibe? Did he not like her like she thought he did? She thought back to their chats online, filled with laughter and excitement.

Was that all a lie?

When she told him she was heading to the city, he sounded so pumped, saying he couldn't wait to finally meet her.

But now, he was acting like he couldn't even look at her, like she was totally invisible.

With a sigh, Jennie reached for her bag, which had been thrown carelessly on the bed. She dug around until she found her phone. Scrolling through her contacts, she stopped at "sis."

The hotel room felt so lonely without her sister around. Lisa was her rock, the one person who really got her, even when they were joking around and teasing each other.

Even with Lisa's quirky ways, Jennie valued their bond, knowing Lisa would always be there for her, ready to listen and support her.

Feeling a bit nostalgic, Jennie tapped on the contact labeled 'sis' and called, holding the phone to her ear as she waited for that familiar voice. After a few rings, she heard her sister's soft voice come through, "Hey, Jen?".

"Hey, Lisa," Jennie replied, her voice barely a whisper.

"Did something happen? Are you okay, Jen?" Lisa's voice was filled with genuine concern.

Lisa wasn't her fully biological sister. They had a pretty unique family setup, connected through their mom.

Jennie was fully Korean, while Lisa was a beautiful mix half Korean, half Thai thanks to her dad.

When Lisa's dad left Jennie's mom during her pregnancy, Lisa ended up living with them, and over time, she became a big part of their family.

Jennie's dad treated Lisa like his own, showering her with the same love he gave to Jennie.

"It's nothing, I just wanted to chat. Why didn't you call me at all, huh?" Jennie joked, trying to lighten things up, even though her heart wasn't really in it.

"Jen, don't dodge the question. What's up? Didn't you meet him?" Lisa pressed, her voice a mix of firmness and care.

"Yeah, I met him, but honestly, I'm not sure if coming here was the right move anymore," Jennie admitted, feeling a wave of vulnerability and frustration.

She stood up and walked over to the big hotel window, pulling back the sheer curtains. The bright city skyline was spread out in front of her, looking all lively and vibrant, yet it felt so different from the chaos going on inside her.

"You know I'll go grab a Cab right now if you want!" That made Jennie chuckle a bit.

"Hey, I'm serious!" Lisa insisted, her voice a mix of playful and a little worried through the phone.

"I get it, sis. I just wanted to hear your voice today, not dive into heavy stuff," Jennie replied, trying to lighten things up.

"Alright, if that's what you want, but I'm still here for you, okay? Don't stress too much about everything," Lisa assured her, picking up on the tension in Jennie's voice.

"Yeah, I know. It's just been a lot lately. So, what's going on with you?" Jennie asked, curious about what's going on with Lisa's.

They ended up chatting for over an hour, with Lisa sharing funny stories about her daily life, amusing work moments, and those little things that always made her smile.
