She couldn't believe she agreed to this. Aphmau should've womaned up and just told Zianna the truth in the first place. That her sons lied to her, and she was NOT dating Zane! That she wasn't interested in him in any other way. They were best friends. Who says a guy and girl can't just be best friends without it being anything else? Without it being strictly platonic? That was the real crime.

They were all walking through the mall, heading to the Olive Garden to where they were going to have dinner. At least she got free breadsticks, And as bad as she felt, a pretty dress out of this. Aph felt eyes on her, sure it could just be Zianna, that's a high possibility. Or it could be-

Aaron.

Shoot. That's right. Aaron. She'd almost forgotten that she got him roped into this. God it killed her having to pretend in front of him. She wished it was his hand she was holding right now. His sent she was smelling. Although maybe if she slowed her walking down just a bit, she could catch it. The strong, sweet musk of his pinewood cologne.

The group arrived to the restaurant, and 5 minutes of witty banter later, Zianna was heading in to reserve a table. She signaled everyone inside, saying something about how their table was ready, and everyone followed, walking in. Aphmau held back for a second, hoping to get at least one shared look with Aaron. At least one breath of him. Even the smallest feel of his skin. Anything to motivate, and get her through this.

She found herself standing there for a second, before flinching as she felt a hand lay low on her waist. Dangerously low. Aphmau felt the hairs on her skin stand up as Aaron's hot breath breathed down her neck. Sending goosebumps everywhere.

"You look really good in this dress." He emphasized on really. "Be a good girl and keep the show up a little longer. I'll be right next to you if you need me." He whispered in her ear before letting go and walking ahead to wait and hold the door open as she froze in shock.

Her skin felt hot, her stomach fluttered, it took everything in her not to take him right there.

"You coming?" His voice had a hint of mocking to it, as if he knows what he just did to her. Which I mean-

He did.

She couldn't get anything out but a quick nod as she forced herself to walk into the restaurant.

The group seated with Aaron keeping his word and sitting next to her, Zane on the other side of Aphmau, as to not rise suspicion from Zianna.
The dinner was going alright, they were only about 30 minutes in and Aph already wanted to die. She wasn't sure how much longer she could keep this act up. She tried her best to keep the table from shaking as she bounced her knee, her fingers fidgeting on her lap. Until she gasped as she felt a large, rough, callused hand on her thigh. The hem of her dress itching scarily high.

Aphmau glanced over at Aaron, seeing him act normal, engaging and listening in on the conversation. The conversation she was not listening to.

"-wouldn't you say so Aphmau?" Ziannas voice suddenly reappeared in her ear.

"I-uh, hm? I'm so sorry Zi-Zianna. I-I um-didn't catch that. What did you say?" She fumbled over her words, trying her best to be polite as possible.

"I was just saying how my little Zuzu is just the most caring boy out there! He must be such a sweetheart to you! I see the way he looks at you! Wouldn't you agree?" She smiled, beaming with joy and pride.

Everyone at the table looked at her, no one else being able to see or notice Aaron's hand under the table. She scratched the corner of her eye. "I um-yes! Yes definitely-eep!" She let out a shocked squeak as she felt Aaron's thumb rub circles on her thigh. Soothing, yet teasingly. She saw the corners of his mouth lift a small smirk as she felt her face grow hotter, and presumably redder. Aphmau somehow kept her facial expressions to a minimum. "Um, I'm sorry but can you excuse me? I just need to r-run to the ladies room! R-real quick!" Aaron's hand moved and she stood up.
