Chapter 5 : guide

         Hearing the another voice inside his mind weakened his legs and he fell down unconscious on his bed. Jack twitched a bit seeing the scene unfolded right in front of him.
      "What a jerk", he turned to the seal.
     "You know you could have selected someone more better than this idiot". Jack subconsciously thought.

      Knowing that he had just ten minutes, he thought about taking control now that Jaxon was unconscious but there was other important things he needed to know first and that include information about the seal. What was really happening. Even up to that moment Jack knew nothing about the seal except for the fact that it somehow managed to preserve his memory and consciousness while he was inside the path of reincarnation. Of course, he could have asked all those questions long ago but the seal had him sealed until the Jaxon mind can handle both consciousness. There was also the case that he doesn't even know if the seal can answer to his questions.

    "Is it sentient ?" Jack asked not expecting to get an answer and put that aside. He was going to find out anyway. He thought about it again and decided to first take control and use that opportunity to get used to his new body.
      His eyes opened slowly as he stood up from the bed and looked around him. "The room sure changed".
        He quickly sat up and took the alarm by the left side of the bed and set it to ten minutes before it will go off. He thought about opening the door but couldn't deal with the presence of the parent at the moment so he discharged the idea as soon as it came. He sat down folding his legs and stayed calm for a few seconds before taking a deep breathe.

    "Now then, I don't know if you can hear me or reply to my inquiries but if you can then answer the questions am about to ask" Jack spoked brimming with hope. He took another deep breathe and resumed his questioning section " what are you and why did you save my consciousness after I died ?"

     He stayed quiet for a bit patiently waiting for a response from the seal but to no avail. Jack sighted and just about when he was going to give up and try some other things the seal began to emit soft light and soon the shape started to change. In his stream of consciousness, he could clearly see an orb of small size brimming with soft light taking form.
    "What is that ?" Jack asked amazed. The next second a creaking sound came out from the newly created orb, it was more like a tiny voice.
    [ hello Yakkurite ] the orb spoked. What interested Jack was the sound of the voice, it sounded more like something speaking and not an automatic voice displayed.

   Jack looked at the orb and smiled "so you are finally alive, now then how about you start by answering my previous question".

   [okay] that was the only thing the orb said and went silenced for a minute.

      Jack was running out of patience and time already. Just okay ? Was that all it could process. He doesn't have enough time to stay put and wait for a reply, just as he was about to retort back to the orb, it continued.
     [ I'm your guide that is all I know and as for why I saved you before you died I have no idea.] the orb said remotely.

    "A guide ?" Jack thought of the response from the orb and pondered over it. He couldn't understand it so he decided to ask more questions.

  "Forget that, how come I was reincarnated with my memory, was such a thing possible that I didn't know?" Jack bumped the orb with another question.

   [ yes, I manage to seal your consciousness before you died.] the orb replied and before Jack could speak it continued again [ you can't reincarnate with your memory that was where I came in ]

  "That's good and all but what the hell does this idiot has to do with all this" He pointed at himself referring to Jaxon " why can't I take over my body and why is he sharing my body with me ?". That was the most annoying part Jack wanted to know, he understood that when the soul of Jaxon attached to the seal back then inside the path of reincarnation, it was probably needed to help him collect a body since he would not be allowed to be born with his memory but never in his greatest and wildest imagination did he thought that he would get stuck with the same soul.
