Mae and Anya woke up tangled in blankets, sprawled across the bed like they'd just been in a brawl. It had been a late night of laughing, gossiping, and planning for the day ahead. Mae yawned, stretching her arms wide as she turned to see Anya rubbing her eyes.

"Morning, girl !" Mae mumbled, her voice still groggy.

Anya yawned in return. "Morning, bitch !"

Mae chuckled, rolling her eyes. "Why are we like this?"

"You love it." Anya winked, throwing a pillow at Mae's face.

Mae dodged it, laughing, then threw it right back. "Come on, let's get breakfast before they run out of the good stuff."

They quickly got ready, throwing on oversized hoodies and leggings before heading down to the hotel's breakfast area. As they sat down with their plates, Mae caught a glimpse of Javon across the room. He was with his family — his sister Jayla and his twin, Jaden. Mae nudged Anya, nodding her head in their direction.

Anya turned to look, raising an eyebrow. "That your new boo or what?"

Mae rolled her eyes, blushing slightly. "Shut up."

Anya smirked, nudging Mae with her elbow. "You've got it bad, don't you?"

"Shut up," Mae repeated, but a small smile tugged at her lips. They both watched Javon laugh with his family before they went back to their food.

Once breakfast was done, the girls were buzzing with excitement for their next adventure. The hotel they were staying at wasn't just any hotel — it had a ranch with their horses waiting for them. Mae's horse, Gabbana, was a sleek black beauty, while Anya's, Sky, was a white mare with a bit of an attitude.

"Let's go," Mae grinned, practically skipping to the stables.

"Girl, if you fall off again, I swear..." Anya laughed, following closely behind.

The girls saddled up their horses, giggling and gossiping as they did. Mae stroked Gabbana's mane, whispering sweet nothings to her. "You ready for a ride, girl?"

Anya snorted, shaking her head. "I swear, you talk to that horse more than you talk to me."

"Maybe because she's nicer," Mae teased, sticking her tongue out.

They rode out into the open, the crisp mountain air filling their lungs. The snow-capped peaks framed the horizon, and the silence of the morning was only broken by the occasional snort of the horses or the girls' bursts of laughter. As they rode, Mae spotted Javon and Jaden in the distance.

"There's your boy again," Anya smirked, nodding towards the twins.

"Stop," Mae hissed, nudging Gabbana into a faster trot. "We're not saying hi."

"Oh, sure, just gonna ride on by like you didn't stalk his Insta last night?" Anya teased, laughing as Sky followed Gabbana's lead.

"Shut up!" Mae laughed, swatting Anya on the arm as they continued their ride.

By the time they were done, the girls were a mess — hair tousled from the wind, cheeks red from the cold, and smiles wide from the fun. They headed back to their hotel room, still giggling about their day so far.

"Alright, let's get out of these horse clothes and into something cute," Anya said as she kicked off her boots.

Mae nodded, rifling through her suitcase. "Something comfy but cute, yeah?"

"Always." Anya grinned, grabbing a long-sleeved tee and a sweatshirt. They both pulled on jeans and finished the look with their favourite Golden Goose trainers.

As they changed, they gossiped non-stop, sharing every little detail about Javon, the horses, and everything in between.

"You reckon he noticed us riding by?" Anya asked, tying her hair back into a loose ponytail.

Mae shrugged, though her heart did a tiny flip at the thought. "Dunno. Probably."

Anya grinned, nudging her again. "He totally did. You're so obvious."

Mae laughed, throwing a pillow at Anya for the second time that morning. "Girl, stop, you're making me blush."

"Good! You need a bit of colour in those pale cheeks." Anya dodged the pillow and struck a pose in front of the mirror. "Ready?"

"Always," Mae replied with a grin, grabbing her phone. "Let's go, girl."
