After lounging in the jacuzzi, Mae and Anya were back in their room, getting ready for the next part of their day. As Mae stood in front of the mirror, fixing her hair, Anya casually threw out, "We should invite the twins to the mall. It'll be fun."

Mae paused, mid-hair flip, and raised an eyebrow. "You mean Javon and Jaden?"

"Yes, girl, who else?" Anya shot back, rolling her eyes. "They seem cool, and honestly, I want to see if Mr. I-have-three-million-followers is as down-to-earth as he pretends to be."

Mae laughed, grabbing her phone. "Alright, let's do it. But they've got to ask their parents, don't they?"

"Yeah, but I'm sure it's no big deal," Anya said, already texting Jaden.

A few moments later, Jaden's reply came through: "Sounds good. Let me check with my parents."

"Easy," Anya said triumphantly. "Told you."

It didn't take long before the twins texted back that their parents were cool with the plan, and soon, they were all on their way to the mall.

Walking through the bustling corridors of the shopping center, Mae glanced sideways at Javon. He was taking in everything around him, but every so often, she'd catch him sneaking a glance her way.

"You guys ever been to a mall this big before?" Anya asked, leading the group confidently as if she owned the place.

"Not really," Jaden replied. "But, honestly, we don't get much time for this kinda stuff with baseball and acting. It's cool, though."

"Baseball and acting? Impressive," Mae commented, trying not to sound too interested, but it was Javon who stole the show with his next words.

"Yeah, but I bet Mae didn't know I'm the youngest member of Jordan," Javon said, casually dropping the bombshell like it was no big deal.

Mae stopped in her tracks, her eyes widening. "Wait, the Jordan? Like, Michael Jordan's brand?"

"Yep," Javon replied, his grin spreading wider.

Mae shook her head in disbelief, clearly impressed. "That's insane. I had no idea."

Javon just shrugged, looking a little embarrassed by the attention. "It's just something I do on the side, I guess."

Anya elbowed Mae, whispering loudly, "I told you he's something else."

Mae grinned, her curiosity piqued even more.

As they wandered through the mall, they started chatting about random things—sports, music, and the languages they knew. Mae and Anya began teaching the twins a bit of French, laughing at their attempts to sound sophisticated.

Jaden was surprisingly good at it, but Javon struggled a bit. He gave Mae a confused look at one point. "Okay, so how do you say 'I love you' in French?"

Mae raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Why do you want to know?"

Javon shrugged casually, though there was a hint of a smile on his lips. "Just... curious."

"It's 'je t'aime'," Mae said, her tone teasing.

"Got it. Je t'aime," Javon repeated, his accent thick but cute. Mae couldn't help but chuckle.

They kept walking until they stumbled upon a scenic spot in the mall with large glass windows overlooking a sunset. Javon stopped suddenly and turned to Mae, his eyes lighting up.

"Hey, this lighting is perfect. You want me to take a picture of you?" he offered.

Mae hesitated, feeling a little shy but eventually nodded. "Sure, why not?"

Javon took out his phone, positioning her just right in front of the window. "Okay, smile. Or don't—whichever you want."

Mae struck a natural pose, the sunset behind her making her skin glow. Javon snapped a few shots and nodded, satisfied. "Looks great. Let me send them to you."

A few moments later, Mae received the photos and admired them. One in particular stood out—it was stunning. She looked... different, in a good way. Without thinking much of it, she saved his contact in her phone. But then she realized what she'd done.

Javon noticed the grin on her face as she looked at her phone. "What's so funny?"

She sheepishly turned the screen to him. He leaned in to see how she had renamed him in her contacts: "Javon 🦄🫃🏻"

Javon burst out laughing. "What the hell? A unicorn and a pregnant man? Seriously?"

Mae giggled, shrugging. "Sorry, it's me. I just love random emojis."

Shaking his head, Javon grinned. "You're something else."

Later that evening, when Mae was going through her phone, she stared at the photo Javon had taken of her. It was too good not to post. She quickly uploaded it to Instagram, adding another shot of the two of them making goofy faces.

Moments after the post went live, the comments started pouring in.

Anya was the first to jump in, naturally. "my parents 👩🏽‍❤️‍👨🏻" she wrote, adding every heart emoji she could find.

Then came Jaden's comment: "Where am I??? 🤨".

Mae shook her head, laughing at the chaos her post had caused.

As the evening wore on and they returned to their room, Mae collapsed onto the bed, scrolling through the notifications flooding her phone. Anya was, as expected, vibrating with excitement.

"Mae darling," Anya began, her voice dripping with dramatic flair. "Did you see the way Javon was looking at you today? He is, like, so into you."

Mae tried to brush it off. "Oh, stop. He was just being nice."

Anya sat up, her eyes wide. "Nice? Mae, you've got to be kidding me. The dude was practically hanging on every word you said. And let's not forget the 'je t'aime' moment."

Mae groaned, covering her face with a pillow. "That was nothing."

"Nothing?" Anya gasped, pulling the pillow away. "Girl, please. Javon Walton is into you, and it's so obvious. I mean, seriously... Mavon is happening."

Mae peeked out from under the pillow. "Mavon?"

"Yep! Mae plus Javon REMEMBER?! It's perfect. You two are, like, destined."

Mae laughed, tossing the pillow at Anya. "You're insane."

Anya grinned, her eyes sparkling. "Maybe, but you know I'm right."
