ZAID POV:

As I stormed into the mansion, my anger simmered just below the surface. Why the fuck was she still bringing up the topic of marrying Zeeshan? She knew I'd be angry, yet she persisted. I left the conversation, not wanting to show her my anger on her birthday. But the mere mention of Zeeshan's name made my blood boil. I hated that fucker. I should have killed him six years ago, but he escaped.

I couldn't understand who that girl was, the one who saved Zeeshan. Even she tried to shoot Steve, and he said she was from the Russian team. Their goal was the painting, a rare piece worth 5 billion dollars. It had vanished, and none of us - not the Italians, not me, not the Russian mafia - could get our hands on it. Fucking 5 billion dollars, gone.

Today was my wife's birthday, and I wanted to give her a gift. But she'd surely reject it, so I didn't bring anything except the anklets I'd bought when she was 18. I told Dadi to give them to her, but she said I should make her wear them myself. I'd kept them for six years, waiting for the right moment.

As I entered the living room, Bhabi, Zoya, and Zaran sat on the couch, playing with his toys. "Steve!" I roared, and Bhabi and Zoya flinched at the sound of my voice. Zoya's eyes held fear, and I could feel my anger rising. This girl had ruined my wife's life, yet my wife still refused to do anything about it.

Zaran, sensing my tension, forwarded his hands to me, and I lifted him into my arms. He had a small smile on his lips, and I couldn't resist his charm. "Sir," Steve's voice came from behind me. I turned towards him, and he handed me Zoya's phone. "You can go," I said, and he left.

I unlocked her phone and saw the numerous missed calls from her family. "20 missed calls from Addeen, 15 missed calls from Hayat, 30 calls from Mom, 20 calls from Dad in the last 10 hours. They called because today is your birthday, right?" I said, my voice cold and dominating yet low. Zaran started playing with my eagle brooch, trying to put it in his mouth.

"Answer me, damn it," I said with a low voice, trying not to scare Zaran with my roared voice. "Because they want to wish me on my birthday, they call at 12," she said with a whispery voice, her hands shaking. I handed her phone back. "Call your mom, put it on speaker." She looked at me with confusion, her eyebrows raised.

Zaran tried to take the eagle brooch again, and I gently removed it from his grasp. "Not now, little one," I said, smiling. Ayla Bhabi stood looking at the drama, knowing she shouldn't get involved. I closed my eyes, trying to calm myself down. Only three days, and everything would become normal again.

ZOYA

As he handed me my phone to call Mom, my hands began to shake. Every year, Mom, Dad, and everyone else would visit me on my birthday, even Dadu and Dadi. But this year, Mom and Dad couldn't come, citing work as an excuse. I had no idea they were planning to marry Inaya.

"Put it on speaker," he said, his voice firm but low. I nodded, trying to calm my racing heart.

"Happy birthday, beta," Mom's voice came through the speaker, and I felt a lump form in my throat. I tried to hold back tears, but they pricked at the corners of my eyes.

"Happy birthday, Zoya," Dad chimed in, his cheerful tone a stark contrast to the tension in the room.

"Thanks, Mumma, Papa," I said with a normal voice, trying to hide my emotions. I glanced at him, his expression unreadable, his jaw clenched like he was trying to control his anger. Zaran looked up at me with his big blue eyes, and I forced a smile, trying to reassure him.
