I'm Nita Veldez, am I a troubled kid? Yeah you can say that. Me and my brother Leo are half-bloods and we're kids of Hephaestus. I'm 16 and a girl with short black hair and I always have it spiked up. I live with my mom but Leo stays at Camp Half-blood year round so I go visit him every summer. I have fire powers like Leo. I go to school in New York City but because of my ADHD and dyslexia I have all C's.
Today at school my teacher Mr.R had me start a fire. So I used my fire powers to start the fire not knowing the Avengers are looking for a new Avenger. The Avengers are down in the principal's office when they see me using my fire powers on the cameras. But it took a turn.
The next day I get to school but when I get up to class I immediately get called down to the principal's office. I go down to the principal's office and see the Avengers and Nick Fury.
"What do you need," I say.
"We have been studying you and your powers," Nick Fury said.
"So you've basically been stalking me," I say.
"Well no," Nick said.
"Ok then. Who are you guys anyway," I ask.
"I'm Nick Fury. This is Steve, Tony, Clint, Thor, Bruce, and Natasha," Nick Fury said.
"So you guys are the Avengers," I say.
"Yeah," Nick said.
"Why are you guys here," I ask.
"We're looking for a new Avenger," Nick said.
"What does that have to do with me," I say.
"We want you to be the new Avenger," Nick Fury said.
"You want a 16 year old who can't control her powers to be the new Avenger," I say.
"We can help you with your powers. We talked to your mom and step dad and they said they don't care if you become an Avenger. But you have to live at the compound. So what do you say? Will you become an Avenger," Nick Fury asked.
"My answer is yes," I say.
