It had been a few peaceful days since Sabrinna, Prime, and Sandy settled into their new routine at Prime’s mansion.

The transition felt almost seamless, like they were finally finding some normalcy after everything that had happened.

Prime, ever the planner, was already thinking ahead. One morning, over breakfast, he casually mentioned that he was thinking about hiring some maids.

“I think we should get some help around the house,” Prime said, sipping his coffee. “The place is too big for you to handle on your own, and I don’t want you cleaning all day.”

Sabrinna looked up from her plate, surprised. "Prime, hindi naman ako napapagod. I can manage. Besides, hindi ako sanay na may mga kasambahay."

Prime shook his head, determined as ever. "It’s not about managing. I don’t want you to have to clean all the time. I want you to relax, spend time with Sandy. Let someone else handle the housework."

Sabrinna sighed, shaking her head. She still couldn’t get used to his wealth, the sheer scale of it all.

Growing up, she had never imagined living in a place like this—let alone with someone like Prime. His world was so different from hers, but somehow, they made it work.

Still, she didn’t want to let go of her independence just yet.

“Okay na ako, Prime. But if you really think we need help, bahala ka na.” She gave in, knowing how stubborn he could be.

The day went on like any other. Prime was working in his office, and Sandy was happily playing in the living room on her playmat, surrounded by her favorite toys.

Sabrinna was busy in the kitchen, preparing Sandy’s lunch, when a thought crossed her mind.

It had been two years since she last heard anything about Prime’s mother, or her parents’ case for that matter. She frowned, wondering if Prime’s mother even knew that they had a child now.

Does she know about Sandy? She’s Prime’s only child, after all. And what ever happened to my parents’ case? It felt like no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get any answers.

Sabrinna was lost in thought as she finished making Sandy’s lunch.

She sighed, putting the plate down on the counter before walking back to the living room to check on Sandy.

But the moment she stepped into the room, her blood ran cold.

Sitting on the floor, right next to Sandy, was Rafael.

Her hands were casually playing with Sandy’s toys, but what made Sabrinna’s heart stop was the gun in Rafael’s hand.

The cold, metallic tip of the barrel was tracing over Sandy’s tiny body as if it were some sick game.

“R-Rafael…” Sabrinna’s voice caught in her throat. Her body froze, the air in the room suddenly feeling suffocating.

She couldn’t move, couldn’t think. All she could do was stand there, her heart pounding in her chest as she stared at the gun in Rafael’s hand, at Sandy, who was completely oblivious to the danger she was in.

When Rafael noticed her, she smirked, her eyes gleaming with a twisted kind of satisfaction. She waved the gun in the air slightly, her grip loose as if this were all just a joke to her.

“S-Sandy…” Sabrinna whispered, her voice trembling. She tried to stay calm, forcing herself to breathe, to think. “Please… don’t hurt her, Rafael. She’s just a baby.”

Rafael’s smile widened, and she let out a low, cold laugh. “Oh, I won’t hurt her, Sabrinna. Not unless you make me. But you see, I’ve been waiting for this moment. For too long, you’ve taken everything from me. You took Prime, you took my life. And now look at you, playing house with my man, with his child.”
