Chapter 29

Justin POV:

I stared at the two idiots, with the gun pointing between both of them. Their faces had a shocked expression on their faces. Which made them look even more like idiots. "I swear. You two are serious dumbasses." I shook my head slightly, showing them a very disapproved expression. "I always had feelings for her, but I was forced to lock them away."

"You bastard!" Jose yelled that spit flew out from his mouth. " You tricked us!" His face started to shake with anger.

"I will kill you!" Jack yelled.

"Oh really? With what weapon?" I remarked.

Jack let out a low growl, looking around the room for something to use. "Damn." He cursed under his breath. I kept the gun pointed at their direction as I slowly walked towards Rose.

"Are you alright Rose?" I asked her.

"Y-Yeah." She sniffed. I removed the rope that was tightly wrapped around her wrists. I tossed the rope across the other side of the room. Rose rushed up her feet but stood far away from me.

"What's wrong Rose?" I asked I realized by her scared expression that she was afraid. "I'm not going to hurt you."

"How do I know that you're not acting it." She whispered.

"I promise I won't hurt you." I pulled out my free hand towards her direction. "Trust me, Rose." As those words escaped from my lips, I saw her eyes began to water with fresh tears and her bottom lip quivering. She rushed towards me, ignoring my hand. Her arms went straight for my waist, wrapping around me and hugging me tightly. I hugged her back with my one arm. I remember this. Her warmth, her scent. I pulled away and rested my hand on her shoulder and pulled her away so we were face to face. "Listen to me. We need to leave. Now."

The next thing I knew, Rose was screaming out my name and pain rushed through my arm and my face. All I could hear was a buzzing noise and had a metallic taste in my mouth. I looked up and saw Jack smirking holding a gun in my direction. As the buzzing cleared, I could still hear Rose screaming out my name. "I'm okay... Rose... Don't worry..." I muttered. I tried to sit up but all I felt was excruciating pain.

"My, my Justin. It is possible that you already forgot the first rule of fighting." His smirk grew wider. "Never turn your back against your opponent." He walked closer to us and pointed the gun on my head.

"No! Please don't!" Rose shouted.

"Shut the hell up you b*tch!" He spat at her face. He focused back at me, replacing the frown with the smirk he had earlier. He clicked the bullet in place and pressed the nozzle of the gun more firmly against my forehead. I used my unharmed hand to search for the gun, trying to see if it's anywhere near me, but I grunt when I noticed that it wasn't anywhere by me. "Say goodbye."

With that, the gun went off. I blinked, trying to comprehend why I didn't feel any pain or even alive. I looked down and saw Jack on the ground with a hole in the middle of his forehead, blood was pooling all over his head.

I searched around, trying to find out where that bullet came from. Then I heard someone panting behind me. I turned my head and saw Rose holing the gun with both hands and fiery filled her face. My eyes went wide with amazement and shock. I couldn't believe Rose actually shot someone. "It seems that you're the one who forgot the lesson." She breathed. She blinked as if she just realized what she had done. She quickly dropped the gun to the ground. "What have I done." She whispered to herself, staring down at her own shaking hands.

I pushed myself up to my two feet, grunting in pain as I stood up. I slowly walked up to her and placed my hands over her shaking hands. She looked up at me with tears in her eyes. "You saved me. That's what you did."
