Felix’s POV
Okay, let me just start by saying—how did we even get here? Seriously, when I sit down and think about everything that’s happened, it’s like some weird fever dream. First, we kidnapped the wrong girl—yeah, that happened. I’m still not over the fact that we were dumb enough to mess that up. And then, our fearless "leader" Hyunjin of all people, catches feelings for her. Like, the same guy who was all about keeping things cool and low-key suddenly starts acting all soft around Nami. That in itself would’ve been wild enough.
But then, boom. The whole cancer thing hits, and everything flips upside down. I don’t even know how we got through that part. Honestly, it’s like a TV drama, but we’re living it. And now? Now we’re all here, at Hyunjin’s company of all places, just hanging out like it’s normal. Like, how is any of this normal? But it is. It became normal.
And, here’s the kicker—I’m still trying to figure out my own feelings for Nami. Yeah, I know, I know, she’s with Hyunjin, and I love that dude. He’s my brother. No way I’d mess with that, but there’s still this tiny part of me that hasn’t fully let go. It’s not like I’m pining after her or anything—I’m not gonna be that guy—but the feelings never fully went away. I’ve just been... waiting for them to fade. They’re supposed to fade, right?
But then she walks in, and—there it is. That spark. She’s visiting us at the company today, and honestly, it feels like a victory lap for her. She’s come through the hardest part of her life, beat cancer like a boss, and now she’s back. I’m happy for her, genuinely. It’s like watching someone rise from the ashes. Nami’s a phoenix, man.
She’s all smiles when she sees us. Her energy’s contagious, and I swear, she lights up the whole room. We’re sitting in one of those fancy conference rooms—Hyunjin insists we hang out here sometimes like we’re some big-time execs or something. And yeah, we’re just chilling, but the vibe is different today. Nami’s healthy, she’s alive, and she’s with us. No hospital smells, no doctors, just us. I’m vibing, but I can’t shake the weirdness of it all.
"Yo, Felix, earth to Felix!" Jisung snaps me out of my thoughts, waving his hand in front of my face like a maniac. “You good, bro?”
I blink, coming back to reality. “Oh, yeah, sorry. Just thinking.”
Jisung smirks. “Thinking about what? You’ve been staring at the wall for like ten minutes.”
I shrug, playing it off. “Just, you know, life. It’s all kinda surreal, isn’t it?”
Changbin, who’s sitting across from me, leans forward with a grin. “What’s surreal? The fact that Hyunjin turned his company into a hangout spot?”
Everyone laughs, and Hyunjin rolls his eyes, leaning back in his chair. “Hey, it’s my company. If I want to let you guys mess around in here, I will. Besides, it’s Nami’s first time here since, well, everything. Feels right.”
Nami smiles, clearly touched by the whole thing. “It’s pretty cool to see where Hyunjin works. I didn’t expect it to be this chill.”
Hyunjin chuckles softly and reaches for her hand, just holding it. He’s not being all over-the-top, just this gentle touch, and it’s enough to remind me that they’re solid. Like, really solid. And that’s when it hits me again—those feelings I’ve been ignoring for months now.
I glance at Nami. She’s laughing at something stupid Jisung said, and she looks so... at peace. She’s always been strong, but now she seems lighter, freer. And in that moment, I realize something—I’m not in love with Nami right now. What I’m holding onto is a memory. The person I cared about was Nami before everything happened, before Hyunjin and her got close. It’s like a time capsule of feelings, but they’re not meant to stay. It’s time for me to let it go.
But still... it’s hard. Even though I know I could never do that to Hyunjin—there’s no way I’d ever risk messing up their thing—it’s tough watching from the sidelines sometimes. It’s like you’ve got these old feelings lying around, gathering dust, but you don’t quite know when to throw them out.
Seungmin, sitting next to me, nudges me. “You’re quiet, man. That’s not like you.”
I shrug again, leaning back in my chair. “Nah, I’m good. Just... thinking about how wild everything’s been. You know, we kidnapped Nami by mistake, Hyunjin falls for her, and now we’re all sitting here, hanging out like none of that even happened.”
Changbin lets out a dramatic sigh, crossing his arms. “Bro, the way our lives have been lately? I don’t even question it anymore. At this point, I’m ready for the next curveball.”
Nami laughs, and it’s such a sweet sound, but at the same time, it stings just a little. "Yeah, it’s like we’ve been in a soap opera or something,” she says, shaking her head. “But honestly? I wouldn’t change any of it. Even the cancer stuff. It sucked, but it brought all of us closer.”
Hyunjin nods, squeezing her hand lightly. “We’re stronger now. All of us.”
The room goes quiet for a moment, and I glance over at Nami again. She catches my eye and gives me this small smile, and I can’t help but smile back, even if it’s a little bittersweet.
---
A little while later, everyone’s just chilling in the lounge area of the company. Hyunjin’s been showing Nami around like he’s giving her a grand tour of his empire or something, and she’s eating it up. Meanwhile, the rest of us are scattered around the room, either on our phones or talking about random stuff.
Jisung’s sprawled out on one of the couches, tossing a stress ball up in the air like he’s not about to hit someone in the face with it. “So, what’s next?” he asks, turning to Hyunjin. “You gonna make Nami your business partner or something?”
Hyunjin laughs, shaking his head. “Nah, she’s got her own stuff to focus on.”
Nami raises an eyebrow, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed. “Oh, do I now? What ‘stuff’ are we talking about?”
Hyunjin grins, looking at her like she’s the only person in the room. “Just... your life. Whatever you want to do next. No more hospitals. No more chemo. Just... living.”
That hits different. I glance at Nami again, and there’s this glow about her now. Like she’s ready for whatever comes next. She’s still Nami, still the girl we kidnapped by mistake, but she’s so much more than that now. She’s stronger, braver. And honestly? She’s happy. That’s all I want for her. All any of us want.
And maybe, just maybe, now that she’s okay, my feelings will finally fade away for real. I won’t rush it, though. I’ll let it happen when it’s supposed to.
Because in the end, it’s not about me. It’s about all of us being there for each other, no matter what. Even if it’s weird, even if it’s complicated, even if it’s a rollercoaster of emotions—I wouldn’t trade this crew for anything.
Hyunjin, Nami, all of us... we’ve been through hell and back, but we’re still here. And we’re stronger for it.
“Yo, Felix!” Hyunjin calls out, snapping me out of my thoughts. “You coming, or what?”
I blink, realizing everyone’s heading out for lunch. I stand up, stretching. “Yeah, yeah, I’m coming. Just... taking a moment.”
Hyunjin gives me a knowing smile. “Take all the moments you need, bro.”
And with that, we all head out, together. Like we always do.
