After having a butterbeer with the Weasley twins, Autumn met with her sister and Luna at the bookshop, and the three walked back to the castle.
They were still walking and chatting about Daisy and Blaise, when Katie Bell suddenly flew up in the air out of nowhere. Her long black hair was around her like a crown while she was tossing and turning into thin air.
In front of them, the Golden Trio started screaming for help, and the groundskeeper appeared out of nowhere and took Katie to the castle. "What happened to her?" Daisy asked, concerned about the Gryffindor girl. "I dunno. Maybe someone cursed her?"Luna suggested.
Autumn stayed silent. That was Katie Bell. The same Katie Bell that entered the girls bathroom just before Draco. Could he have something to do with this? But then again; why would he hurt Katie Bell? What did she do to him?
And full of these questions, ringing in her head, Autumn walked back to Hogwarts, and headed towards her common room, wanting to talk to Draco.
She entered the big green room, immediately noticing the pale blonde she was looking for wasn't there. Blaise was there though, so she asked him: "Hi Blaise. Do you know where Draco went?"
Blaise smiled at her and answered: "He muttered something about a piano room? If you know where that is.". She thanked him and walked out of the Slytherin quarters, headed to the piano room.
When she opened the door, she immediately saw Draco. He was sitting on the sofa, his shoulders facing her. She thought she would surprise him, so she tiptoed over to him and touched his shoulder.
He jumped and turned around, his wand pointed to her. "Why so jumpy?" she asked, with a sad smile.
He looked at her and shook his head, saying "It's nothing. Why were you looking for me?" he asked, fear and then curiosity flashing on his face. "Well, I wanted to tell you that, umm, I saw you enter the girls bathroom at the three broomsticks, and Katie Bell after you, and then she fainted, and why would you go to Hogsmeade when you told me you were busy..." she blurted out.
Once again fear flashed on his face, then anger, then sadness, then fear again. "Are you ok Draco? You know you can tell me anything, I'm here for you, you know." she said, this time sweetly.
Draco thought to himself that he didn't deserve her, and then, once again, he put on the ice mask on his face, the one he had on all his life until her. She made him better, happier, lighter. But it was all about to change.
"The only thing I need to tell you right now is how nosy and untrusting you are. I was obviously with you only because you were a rich pureblood, it was all an act, but now I'm sick of acting and tired of you." He said, his face unexpressive, and his beautiful grey eyes turned a dark silver. Autumn looked at him in shock. "Are you breaking up with me?" she asked, her lip twitching, holding back a sob. "What does it look like?" he asked sarcastically.
Then he walked outside and slammed the door shut. But he didn't walk away. If he walked away now, it would feel like walking away forever from the love of his life.
So he stayed, ear glued to the door trying to listen to Autumn.
That was when he heard her break down, sobbing and crying.
All he wanted in this world was running in there and hold her, tell her it was gonna be ok.
But it wasn't.
And this was the only way she would be safe.
