𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲’𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩,
Adhik wiped his tears and ran up to the terrace. He saw the cake she had left for him and walked toward it. He took a bite, trying to hold back his tears.
He sat down on the floor, looking at their names hanging on the wall. He took off his locket and slowly caressed it. He placed a kiss on the ring, pressing it against his lips. Was it just a crush...a mere attraction?
Then why is it hurting so much?
He stayed there, not realizing when he fell asleep.
He woke up when he heard the doorbell ringing repeatedly. With a confused look on his face, he opened the door and saw Ankush standing there with some men around him. “Uncle, kya hua?” (Uncle, what happened?) he gently asked.
“Where are my daughters?!” Ankush angrily asked, pushing him inside and stepping in.
“What do you mean? Where is Natasha, uncle?” Adhik worriedly asked, moving toward him.
“Tell me where your brother is!! What have you all done to my daughters??” Ankush roared, placing a gun under Adhik's chin. Hearing his voice, Kush and Rukmani came out of their room, their eyes widening in shock.
“Uncle, calm down. Natasha and Ankita Di are my dearest, okay? I don’t know where they are, please trust me,” Adhik calmly explained. Ankush moved the gun away and exhaled loudly.
“What do you want me to do, huh? Just sit here while your brother took both of my daughters?” Ankush asked, suppressing his anger.
“No, uncle, please let me help.” Adhik made him sit on the sofa and grabbed a water bottle, handing it to him before ordering Kush, “Get my laptop!”
“Meena aunty has a camera outside her house just across the corner; we’ll check that, okay?”
He saw Meena standing there and ran toward her. “Meena aunty, aap aise kaise Natasha ko akele chhod sakti hain? Woh bacchi hai!! Aap dhyan nahi rakh sakti uska!!” (Aunty, how could you leave Natasha alone? She’s just a child!! Can’t you take care of her?) he angrily approached her, snatching her phone away without listening to her explanations.
